WOW 70 miles your first time behind the wheel thats cool.See haveing a heater is going to pay off on those less that perfect cruising nights. The chips in the paint are proof that it gets used,to cover them up or fix them is a personal issue,I say leave them there, and put a small piece of rubber at the back of the front wheel well sort of like a small mud flap sort of thing to keep rocks and such off the paint and side pipes.

Mud flaps work, but so does the 3M vinyl adhesive! Moulds to the fender perfectly and is simple to remove with no damage. We changed them once a year at the most. No damage to paint at all. In fact I put it on the rear crown line behind the seats too. Kept any damage from someone throwing off their seat belt to carelessly!

BUT wait to see what that stuff costs a roll--- a real EEEK!

wwolfe, Welcome to the madness. Your car looks great. It looks even better in your garage. Don't worry about the choice you made with a CRII. Everyone always justifies the choice they made and then ferociously defends it. I have had mine for 1 1/2 years. I'm still thrilled with car. You may have some gremlins pop up now and then but you will always be grinning when you drive the car. Keep us posted.

Jim

Yes, QA1 has kits that will fit. Do a search.

brodie,
Almost all front end hi-po company's make front end parts for MII front ends;
Aldens, QA1, Pro, Heidts, TCI, etc., etc... You can find them in JEGS, SUMMIT, SPEEDWAY... and of course on the net!

Isn't the shock a different size (length) for the CR MII? Also there is a different spring rating for the engine type, small block vs big block.

Brodie,
I went with the ProShock coil over for a BB. I purchased thru CRII a few months before they went south. I can look up the part numbers for you if you need me to. I just have to do some digging to find them. Let me know if you want them. Although I did replace the stock upper and lower A-arms i'm pretty sure it would bolt up without a problem to the stock version.

John, et. al.,
Yes, but all the suppliers I have listed know what shock and spring to use depending on small block vs. big block. Usually 250 lbs, for a small block, 350 for a BB.

More and more I am glad that I have a CR that I am building and that there are supporters who appreciate it. I haven't been on here for a while but I am looking for Rear splash guards and a glove box to finish 'er off SOON!! I talked to Terry (buying all CR rights?) a few minutes ago. A couple of weeks, and him and the bank should be finished tieing up the CR company. 60-90 days on the splash guards and at least a few weeks on the glove boxes (he saw some stacked up in Minn on an inspection tour a little while ago), but I would like them a lot sooner. Any help??

PS I just left a phone message on DV's phone...
THANKS!

ShortCR,
For Heavens sake is Gattrill still telling people he is getting the company? BS! He has been feeding people that line for over 4 years and all of it is crap. Now if it, by a chance of a snowball I will be glad to eat my words. I do know Gattrill owes thousands of dollars to customers that didn't get their kit-at AT ALL, didn't get their parts, etc. He's been telling people for over four years that his "Business Plan" is all set to go and he will have the company in two weeks! Hell he told me that a year and a half ago! I even talked to one of his Bankers who started telling me what I just told you. I have talked to dozens of his customers........I can't believe the guy is still telling people this!

MR GATTRILL- IF I AM WRONG YOU HAVE MY PERSONNEL PHONE NUMBER, MY CELL NUMBER, MY E-MAIL ADDRESS, AND MY ADDRESS, CALL OR WRITE ME ANYTIME! I'D LOVE TO HEAR PROOF THAT I AM WRONG, BUT DO NOT FORGET I WILL FOLLOW UP IN FULL.
