Now how do we do this again?
Hi experienced builders,
I just bought an unfinished Cobra from someone who started it in 1999 and just gave up.
I loaded pictures in my album profile, I think the mechanical is all done, i don't know what the motor is... I just finished the lighting yesterday, the gas tank has no sensor, I have all the gauges in a box, dont know where to connect rpm and speedo, carpet needs to be done, leather upholstery, headers connected to sidepipes, chroming the sidepipes, getting the "fins" on the sides made and chromed, two bumper bars to be chromed, two bumpers missing, one door handle missing, windshield wipers wire thingy in tube going nuts...
Where should I start ? There must be a bunch of other things I am unaware of that needs to be done... then registration before the summer... yikes !
Any comments, hints and tips GREATLY appreciated !!
Alex

Don't feel to bad if you don't know what the motor is yet. I recently talked to a guy who had a $30,000 motor installed in his car and he didn't know if the cam was solid, hydraulic, flat tappet or what. Just a blank stare...

Start by takeing a deep breath............first start by makeing a list of things you think need to be done ............then make a list of things you think or can see that are missing...........check your reciepts and make sure you have all of them...........take a deep breath, grab some wrenches and go for it.........remember breath deeply........

Identifying what brand of replicar you have there will go a long ways in getting
help on sorting out your build process. Most everything has been built in here
by somebody but we need to know what you have in order to help.
Take your time!

I am not sure of to identify this cobra kit, where would it say what brand it is. It was purchased from Cobra International in Ontario back in 1999(now shutdown).
Does anyone know what kits they were selling ?
I uploaded pictures in my album profile and user gallery:
http://www.clubcobra.com/photopost/s...r=39009&sort=1
I can more specific pictures if kit can be identified by particular build characteristics.

I looked at the pics, nothing popped out for me as to manufactuer. My overall impression is that it looks like a well done kit, I like it.

I'm pretty sure that Cobra International of Midland, Ontario, was producing its own kits and was not reselling someone else's. I have no personal experience with them, but I don't think they were a very reputable or reliable operation. Maybe someone here knows better than me and can help you out.
