Hi all,

I’m Bob & I joined this forum to learn about Cobras. Been looking at Cobras for quite awhile. Next year we send our last child off to college and I’m looking for a reward.

My goal is to assemble the car myself over the course of 1-2 years. Not sure about the motor. Would love to buy a crate motor at the 400 hp level, but may end up going with donor parts and mod from there. Time will tell.

Charting into unknown territory. Let the odyssey begin.

Bob

Welcome to the madness!

Take your time and enjoy yourself. There are some great people on this forum. I have met some of my best friends here. My advice would be to jump in with both feet and make some post, get to know some of the guys around here.

Welcome! If you are ever up in the DC area come join the Capitol Area Cobra Club for our Sat morning breakfast. Always 15-20 cobras there if the weather is decent. Great bunch of guys.

Bob,

Welcome to the Club! You came to the right place!

Good luck with your search, the thrill of the hunt is half the fun. To get an idea what's out there, take a look at the 'For Sale' section here at CC and at 'Cobra Country'

http://www.cobracountry.com/home2.html

Also on Cobra Country is Curt Scott's Buyers Guide, quite informative. Do some searches on this forum and you will find lots of great information. Most of all, have fun!

Thanks for the welcome guys.

Test drove a Cobra back in 1996, when I lived in Monterey, CA. Wasn’t practical for me to buy one at the time. Fast forward 14 years - still don’t have as much time as I’d like to dedicate to a build, but I figure now is the time.

Look forward to the adventure.

Bob
