Newb from Tampa, FL
Hello all, Derek here. I am beginning a project I have wanted to do since 14 years old (35 now). I am planning on purchasing a base kit from FFR (Mark IV) in the next month or so. Yesterday I purchased a donor car (1994 Mustang GT Convertible) it was 2K and is completely driveable. I wanted to just find a coupe but here in FL most of the Mustangs you find are convertible. I initially was going to build a non-donor car as I already have a couple of 385 series engines, some aluminum heads, a toploader trans with SFI bell housing, and a 9 inch rear with discs made to fit an SN95 or Fox. My issue is I would like to build the car in a timely manner and drive it sooner rather than later. I know building it once would be the more cost-effective thing to do and waste fewer parts, I can't wait. It is all a big lesson and experience anyway right?
