Does any one remember a red Cobra behind the bar at Lucky's Bar in Hot Springs? About 10 years ago. I am looking for a picture of it. I just bought the car and would like to know its history. Thanks[/IMG]

The weather in Alabama has put us off of our schedule and we will not be stopping in Little Rock after all. The wife has to see Branson so we will just be passing through now. On the bright side, Tony in Memphis did a great job getting the Cobra running and we were able to cruise a bit there. Stopped at Graceland to offer Elvis a ride but they said that he had left the building.

I remember it, they had it hanging from the ceiling. Was in there a couple years ago looking for it but it was gone.

It was on top of a beer cooler about 9 feet up. Was pretty neat as I remember. Lots of people came just to see it and drink. I think the owners had other places in Hot springs as well. Was a pretty popular place. When the bar was sold owners took the car.

Default July's sizzling run

Announcing a first for our Arkansas cobra group, I think (at least a first for me ).

We did a short run last Saturday... hot but nice. Upon conclusion, one of our group "piped" up (pun intended) that he'd like to have a BBQ at his place in July. We hope to make this as easy as possible to coordinate so, we have two dates (no rain date) to propose. The plan will be to do a tour of the countryside (route to be determined) followed by the BBQ. This should be interesting as his home address is a house boat moored on the Ark. river. He'd like to treat us to burgers/dogs followed by a cruise on the water. Sounds really nice. We should bring our beverage of choice and maybe some veggie or chip type thing. If we each bring a little something more than for ourselves there should be plenty to share. Our selected dates are July 16th or 23rd depending on schedules. We'd really like everyone to be flexible but respond asap so we can do further planning. This has the potential to be A LOT of fun. I'm looking forward to it. Further details forthcoming like time and location to meet at start etc. Early planning stages but fun on the way!

Everybody, time to "sound off"! If you're interested and would like to attend respond to this post or PM me with your date of preference no later than July 8th. I'll have a final date and head count shortly thereafter.

Thanks everybody!
