Default New Book

I own CSX2549 since 1988. (I have been a Club Cobra member for years, but for some reason could not log on and had to re-register.)

I am an automotive photojournalist for 32 years.

My new book just came out- "Jerry Heasley's Rare Finds" with two Cobras included.

My column, Rare Finds, appears in Mustang Monthly and Muscle Car Review.

Contact me for a signed book (jerry@jerryheasley.com) or go to Amazon.com

Or, if you have a Rare Find I can put it in the column or the next book, Rare Finds, Mustangs & Fords, due out next year. Try to always take pictures of the Rare Find as found, without altering the car archaeology.

Thanks,
Jerry Heasley

Is this book similar to "Cobra In The Barn", "Hemi In The Barn", "Corvette In The Barn", and "Vincent In The Barn" by Tom Cotter?

Default Rare Finds

More pictures- 248 total. Most incredible stories I've heard in 21 years writing Rare Finds in Hot Rod Mustang, Mustang & Fords, Modified Mustangs & Fords, Mopar Muscle, Muscle Car Review. Mostly muscle cars, but I have other weird stuff, like a 1955 Ferrari raced by Phil Hill. Found in cow pasture after laying there three decades. Or, Orbitron, found in Mexico- did that for Hot Rod. Also, 5R002 found near Monterey. This is the car raced by Titus and fire racing Shelby Mustang. Book is large format for bigger pictures. Car Tech printed 4,000 copies in first edition.

Hi Jerry,
Just wondering, off the top of your head, if you know if your book has a rare find of a 1970 Cougar XR7 convertible? It was in your rare finds in one of your magazines. It said it was found in Springfield, Illinois. The car was 428 Cobra Jet Ram Air 4speed car. Just wondering, because the story about how it was found then was all screwed up. Thanks Mark

At least these have all their stories straight.

That Cougar did not make the book. And as for mistakes the owners proofed the copy. What was incorrect on the Cougar article you are citing?

Hi Jerry, First off I want to apologize for coming off that way. Sometimes when you push the button it is too late. Anyhow, when I picked up the magazine with the car in it, it was a very pleasant suprise to see it. At the time, I thought it was pretty cool, but the story was incorrect. Right now I don't have the magazine to look at to to tell you what was wrong. I gave it to the guy who I got the car from. He always wanted to see the car restored. It was a thrill for him. Ok I understand that you can only go by what someone supplied you with for information. Since this was posted, the guy who submitted the rare find to you, joined this forum and PM'd me. It was pretty cool talking to him. He is going to send me a CD of pictures of the restoration of this car. The original owner of this car will be thrilled to see these pictures. Sorry about the comment. Mark

Thanks Mark. I really like and appreciate car people. They are great. I enjoy making their dreams come true of featuring their cars in national magazines everybody sees. I try my best to do a good job.

I wanted people to take a look at my Rare Finds book on Amazon and write a review.
Thanks,
Jerry Heasley
