I purchased a freshly built Cobra replica last week, and thought I would post up some pictures and the info that I have on the car.
The car is absolutely beautiful, and being a lifelong BMW driver I am so excited to add such an iconic beast to my garage!
Here is what I know (or was told)
I was told by the seller that it was a B&B kit, built by a father/son team out of Little Rock AR.
I have lots of documents/quotes/invoices/manuals from B&B that date in the 2005 timeframe.
This led me to believe the kit was B&B and purchased during that time.
From talking to Bryan at B&B, it seems that this could have started as a early-mid 80's LA Exotic kit.
It has 390 miles on it, and I just turned in the original AR title, which will make me the 2nd owner on a TN title 1966 Ford Cobra.
I have a 12k+ receipt from Southern Automotive
Southern Automotive for a 390ci build, bored to 452ci
I was told it was rated at 600hp, but I will wait to get it on the dyno before I take much stock in that...
Overall, I am pleased with the car, but plan to upgrade the brakes to Wilwood F/R very soon!
*the Mustang II brakes are worse than the coaster brake on my childhood Schwinn Stingray!
It has American Racing Shelby wheels (17x 10.5 in the rear, and I assume 8.5's in the front) and as you can see, it doesn't have the traditional offset which would allow the tire to tuck inside the wheelwell.
I'm don't know if there is a quick and inexpensive solution, so I may end up running it like this for awhile.
On to the pictures
