Love the color. The sunburst wheels are going to look amazing as well. Congrats on living your dream.
Best regards,

Thanks to all, for your input on the BRG (Zagato Dark) paint that I chose years, years ago, I've had this car in my head since 1967 when Automobile Quarterly (Vol 6 No 1) did a comparison test between a XK-120 Jag, and a street 427 Cobra, as the fastest car's of their era (Great read), that's the reasoning for the BRG, Sunbrust's, and the 60 series tires, also no roll bar's, or stripes. The side pipes would have been a hassle to remove, so they will stay. I promised a story about Mark Donohue in the 1968 Trams-Am race at Kent, that's coming up next, so stay tuned. Tom.

Tom,
So well understood. My love affair started in 1963 when I first saw a Slabside owned by a Dartmouth student in Hanover, NH. In 1966 a 427 also in Hanover. Fast forward to my ERA 289 BRG Slabside. Worth the nearly 50 year wait.
Enjoy your dream come true!

A couple more shots, taken outside...
I told Tom via email that I couldn't wait to see it out in the sun... And then it occurred to me that in coastal Washington state, this is about as close to a sunny day as we're going to get...
Still, seeing these pics has got me thinking more and more about how cool a full street 427 replica would look parked in the garage next to the 289 car...
Curse you, Tom- I need another car project like I need a hole in my round, bald head.

Oh Rob, Oh Rob, what have I done You know a street 427 is just what you need. I know of two kits (Classic Roadsters) around that are just dying to be built ( I believe you know those somewhat ), and what a great excuse to make a trip to the great NW. Now you know what that means, in a few years I would have to sell my V-8 RX-7 and buy a 289FIA . The can of worm's is opened?? Thank you again for posting, Rob. P.S. You were right the best day in week's, and week's.

Got my Sunbrusts mounted on the Mt St just before Christmas. So one more thing checked off the list. It's getting closer. Merry Christmas to all, Tomhttp://www.clubcobra.com/forums/attachment.php?attachmentid=31176&stc=1&d=15140837 86. http://www.clubcobra.com/forums/atta...1&d=1514083786

I have had a bucket list item for a Cobra all my life and told myself when I retire that I would pursue checking that one off my list. After searching for the last 6 months at auctions, classified ads, private bulletin boards, and word of mouth finally came across the jewel I have been looking for.

Interesting sunbursts. I've never seen them polished? Where did you get them?

Like Rob said, ACHiPo, Rocket Racing. Rob had these on his Cobra before his brought his 289FIA. I went a little different with mine. They only come in 15x7, 15x8, with a 3/4" offset for the rear. So mine are that way, with flat knock-offs on front, and angled knock-offs makes the rears look deeper. spot on perfect wheel for my street 427. Very well made wheel's. congrats, TX-Excalibur on your new Cobra (Love the Color). Mine is at it last garage, for final assy. April still look's like the date, to have her done.

Great talking to you Adam, These are just stock Excalibur seats, I know TX Excalibur is a neighbor of Bulldog (Mike) down there, I need to call him, anyway. Cheers Tom.
