Regrettably, there are really no new details on 2049. The bulk of the report discusses the louvres in the hood and wonders why the Registry changed details between the 2008 and 2019 versions. This has been explained previously, as the 2008 version was based on made-up data submitted by "FBI agent" Richard ********x. I can't even mention him here on CC without his name registering a STOP, hence the added x.) Walker also parses the details in prior registries and expresses curiosity about many of the conflicting bits of data that have been submitted over the years. I suspect Bob was left scratching his head in much the same manner as the Cobra Registrar has been over many years.

See? C-R-A-N-F-O-R-D-'s name was exorcized immediately.

Richard, the original "he who must not be named" of club cobra. I knew we should have trademarked that quotation, think of the royalties from Harry Potter novels and movies we missed out on

Amazon keeps pushing the delivery date back on that book. Now it says February 26, 2022.

Hey Michael,
There is a slabside replica on BAT. Some goof ball just put in an opening bid of $2049.

in the case of Aurora, an opening bid of $2013 would be more appropriate

What’s up SunDude?
The AC chassis is at least 1/2 of Carol Conners boyfriends (Elvis) car.
Don’t let the facts get in the way of a good story.

His asking price on facebook this morning is $60,000
As a FYI, the Aurora has a very slim footbox, smaller than my last Caterham. If you have a wide foot, say 9.5EEE or up, you will need to have the footbox modified.

This morning on facebook, I saw TimeMachines posted about someone getting a slabside delivery. I wonder who that was?

"Slabside." What is that, anyway? A cut of beef?
And was the slabside possibly already grey?

That's what Superformance calls one of their models.

Me too.
I'm not aware that AC ever referred to the Mk II as a "slabside".
I note, however, that even ERA (as well as Superformance) call their version of the Mk II Roadster a "slabside"
It's a far better looking car than that term infers...
Cheers!

For what it's worth, I always referred to the MK II as a 289 Cobra. My own love for the 427 led to my ultimate purchase and build of ERA 718 which I do not regret at all after sixteen years (I actually drove it for an hour today in chilly New England). Not too many guys can own an original these days, unless they bought it some years ago. Prices have gone beyond what anyone would have ever predicted. The word 'slabside' to me is just slang.

Strong money for a car you have to be no taller than 5'10" and wear size 7 shoes (B's or C's no less) to drive due to a foot-box that is entirely too small.
