I have had several nice ars but are mostly in the exotics world. Yes, with many bells and whistles for safety etc so this is a huge consideration to go into a whole new reality.

Took the rollbar off already and looking to do a few other things. Just got back from the Peterson Museum and the Annual Cobra event.. some nice cars for sure!

You are right about the "trafficator" and horn button in the middle but the original
wheel itself is very different. Sorry I can't do photos on this site but just pull
up photos of any 260 Cobra and you will see. The wheels are the original AC
steering wheels. Very pretty wheel...probably 1930s design.

Moto-Lita makes/made all the original Cobra steering wheels. Go to their
website and look at the AC Ace OEM wheels. Those are the correct wheels for
all of the 260 Cobras and are still available today!

That is all your personal choice, but your current tan interior looks great with the dark blue paint.

Target fixation! I just got a Trafficator, which I am restoring, didn't look at the steering wheel like I should have. If it was put on back in the late 60s or 70s and is documented, I say leave it! But if it was put on later, change it back.

Had a little bit of insomnia, so I did the logical thing and looked for photos of AC Ace cars! Stumbled onto these with their interesting steering wheels. The red one is a early model AC engine powered car, the blue one, looks like an late Bristol engine car, with glove box lid and the bend on the gear shift. Now, I am very curious about these steering wheels. When were they added, 1950s, 60s, or latter? Were they a popular add on in that period? I don't know, but would love to Know!

This probably wont interest many here, but I found out who made the above steering wheels with the holes! The answer is, who didn't make them! From Momo to Moto Lita, 3 holes per arm to 6, flat dished you name it, to fit cars from Bug Eye's to E Types! Now that I think of it, I drove a 1965 Mustang Sports Roof with a dished wheel similar to above, back in the 70s. It was pretty classy, with the torn seats and flat blue paint! Wish I had that car today. Oh well, it was a fun journey.

So after a few months of ownership I decided to fix a few flaws in the body, this led to paint. So here it sits waiting to be shot today.. Also had to do some seat work to free ip a little more leg room. Gettin there slowly!!

Chupee, are you changing that beautiful dark blue? Or just a repaint of that color?? That's part of the fun with our Cobras their never really done, always something to try or change. Cheers Tom.
