An introduction . . . .
As you can see, I've been around this forum for a very long time. Over the years, I have been gathering information, doing research, attended an FFR build school at Tri-States in Pennsylvania in the late '90s, attended a Run 'n' Gun also in the late '90s (meeting many fine people who are now better known than was the case back then), visited the Lone Star factory in Ft. Worth--pretty much the norm, I guess. However, my wife and I recently visited both the ERA factory and the FFR factory. We were most impressed by what we saw and experienced at both facilities. I am now following the ERA thread more closely, I recently posted a message for the first time, and I am excitedly planning a build. Yes, we will likely turn to ERA for our future Cobra replica fun!
I am grateful for this forum, and I look forward to continuing to learn from everyone here.
As an aside, I "completed" (using that term loosely) a two-year, frame-off restoration of a 1952 MG TD in 1995. We still own this car, and completed a 2500-mile roundtrip to the MG Indy gathering in 1996 (2.5 miles of that trip included a lap on the Speedway!). My daily driver is a 2004 Ford SVT Mustang Cobra convertible (quadruple black), the last of the Terminators.
