Smile Hello Everyone

My research began a couple of weeks ago and I know I am absolutely hooked on Cobras. The thought of having one has consumed my thoughts day and night. I drove a Shell Valley 351 (auto) and was not too impressed with the power. I am hoping it was the tranny. Either that, or I am a 500hp guy and don't know it yet. Anyways, any advice you guys can give me would be great. Take care

Research,Research,Research.
Go to club events and some outings in your area. Go to them and talk their ears off. Get some rides if you can and go to a HP race school if you can before you jump in. Make "sure" its for you before you get into it. Some people research for "years" before getting a Cobra. Good luck in your quest.

Ditto, tcrist. I lurked this forum for a year before I jumped in. Wait for a good deal. I bought a great B&B for 22K to get my feet wet and decided the cobra was a blast. Then decided I was more of a purist and bought a Hi Tech. Somewhere in there I had a fixer upper Superformance. When I got it I discovered that the distributor wasn't advancing then found out the carb linkage was installed backwards. It went from 125HP to 430HP. Trust me, 400+ HP in these will get your attention.
