Default new guy from north texas

I just joined the site to do some research for a while, in the hopes of buying one of these sweet rides in the next year or so. I am looking forward to learning a lot from the many members here.

Welcome! This is the place you want to hang out at. Lots of valuable information can be found here. Many forum members have bailed me out of some frustrating situations during my build.

Good luck with your research.

Randy

So...new guy...tell us more

Are you leaning towards a particular vendor?
Are you a 'builder' or a 'buyer'?
Anything in particular 'takes your fancy' yet?

Glyn

There are a number of Cobras in your part of the Metroplex. Keep an eye out for the Dallas "first Saturday gathering" announcement. That would give you the opportunity to see several different makes in one place.

Jim, thanks for the heads up. I would enjoy the opportunity to multiple makes in a single setting.

Glyn, I am definitely a buyer, not a builder. I can't install a bicycle chain without my wife's help. I am just starting the process, so I am not looking for a particular vendor at this point. I figure that I will need to do a lot of research. The one thing that I do know is that dependability and fixability is more important to me than pure performance, so I will not be going for anything exotic insofar as the engine is concerned.
