Default Another new guy

Hey everyone,

Like many here I've been wanting a Cobra for many years and have finally arrived at the point to have it happen. Well sort of...

As you all know there's a lot of choices and of course prices. Kinda like the old saying "in racing you can't beat cubic dollars!". Originally I thought I'd go with a glass car, but kept wandering back to the Kirkham.

Well since then I decided this time I won't fret the price and get what I really want, so It'll be a Kirkham. But I will draw the line at spending $20k+ extra for a CSX number. (don't think it makes the car preform better, so I'd rather put that in a motor)

Still a few decisions to make but I expect to be ordering the roller in the next month or so, thanks to the info from members here and lots of reading.

Also wanted to add "my build" choices so far...

427sc brushed w/stripes
Stainless frame
Aluminum rear 3.50~ gear
Shelby aluminum block motor with massflow injection system built by Kieth C.
TKO 600 w/relocated shifter (closer to wheel)
15" billboards plus an extra set of street tires

Basically a street bruiser with a little track fun. I'm opting for the massflow as it's going to offer the best street manners with plenty of eyeball flattening WOT. Not to mention better engine life with FI.

Kirkham is having an open house at the factory in Provo sometime soon. You should call them and make a trip to Utah and get in on the party.

Hey Doug, heard about the sale in another thread from Joe. The special offer whittled down the add-ons list quite a bit plus free assembly.

Called 'em Monday and got my order in.

Should have the roller around end of May. Now to get the engine on order with Kieth...

One additional option, dual roll bars.

Ronbo,

Welcome! I'd love to see your build as it progresses; I'm in St Augustine so it's a short distance.

If you'd like to join our site (it's free ), try here:

We have a very small but active group of cruisers, trailer queens and track folks.

Hope to see you and your heap,

Tom

Thank you Tom I'll be sure to check it out.

Still hashing out engine stuff and the like. Was a little hesitant about ordering right now as my business is really feeling the pinch lately. Figured the sale was to good to pass on though.

The car showing up in time for the 95deg days don't help either...But I suppose I'm not the first person in Florida to consider "putting the car up" for the summer.
