Wanted to drop in and say hi to everyone. I am Gene from Texas and am currently building an Everett Morrison Cobra kit car. My kit is the older design with the 4" tube chassis front to rear, based on the Mustang II doner. I got the kit from a guy that bought it from a guy so forth and so on..lol. I got the body, frame...the guy said a few hail marys when I picked and said quietly " thank god that thing is gone"..lol.

I did away with the leaf spring rear suspension and custom built a Z-link/coil over rear suspension instead(hence the screen name).8" ford rearend from the mustang II, ordered 5 lug axles from Currie in CA. Mark VII Lincoln rear disc. 4 spd 10 blot top loader tranny, v-gate inline shifter(with custom made handle). The motor when it is done will be a 372 cubic inch small block. Aluminum block and heads, Jack Roush boss 302 intake. 139 thou over bore,347 stroker.

Stayed with the Mustang II front set up but did do away with the radius arms of the bottom a arms. Polished Stainless upper and lower a-arms, standard rack and pinoin. Went to the pinto spindles with the Granada rotors and the big Gm calipers.

Thats about all I can think of right now. It's still along way from being done..money is kind of tight right now. If anyone out there has the style kit I sure would appreciate some help on some things. Shoot me a PM and maybe I can pick your brain about a few things.

Thanks everyone

Welcome to the forum! Pictures when you have some time. You have to hurry. The Texas Cobra Meet in San Marcos is the last weekend of March. Come on up even if you don't get the car ready. Talk to the guys. I am sure you can get a ride with someone.
