Looks great! Do you have one showing how the carpet looks around the pedals?

Not yet. The pedals were removed for the carpet install. When they spray that glue it goes everywhere and I didn't want to deal with cleaning up the mess. There is already enough glue on things that don't need glue on them. I should have the aluminum plate done around the pedals this weekend and I can post a picture then.

So, let me get this straight, you're putting in an entire wiring harness that won't connect to anything just so it looks authentic? Carpet looks great, and the dash does as well. What did you decide to do on the dash, padding or no?

Tim, your right, a very complete wiring harness that doesn't work. Almost like the original Lucas equipment in the originals when they were new! Also, the dash has no padding under the vinyl. I like the look much better.
Gary, I am not home this weekend but I can shoot those pictures for you when I get a chance. What aluminum panels are you talking about?

I was talking about a front wheel well shot showing the suspension and aluminum work around it. Of course would love to see some more full car shots as you progress...

The trunk was finished at the same time as the rest of the carpet but they didn't have the cool hurricane sticker on the battery. Cool little touches like that are fun to see on the final product.

No I didn't get the baby home today. I planned to go up there yesterday and bring it back today. Steve called from Hurricane and he, along with the companies owner, didn't want to send a car out if it wasn't just right. He said the driver's door hinge was rubbing on the door sill and it would need to be taken off and reworked. They wanted to change the design to something that looked more original. He said if I could wait until next week, they would get it fixed Sunday and he would send one of their drivers with the car down to my house on Monday or Tuesday. Thats seems pretty fair since I get 6 MPG with trailer and it is almost 600 miles to Lake City IA, one way.

Last week I was in Omaha on business and played hooky on Wednesday afternoon to make a short trip up to the Hurricane factory. I was met at the door by Mike and Steve and got a complete tour of the building by Monty Rohrbeck, the plant manager. Jason was up to his elbows in Dean's car and WOW! what a ride!!!
Dean, your machine is going to make ol' Shelby himself jealous. The attention to detail is out of this world. There even appears they have a couple of items that will be retro/upgrades for the earlier models as well.
Thanks to Mike, Steve, Monty, Jason, and the others for making a boring trip to Omaha well worth the time.
I even have a photo of me standing of the soon-to-be famous Hurricane "H".

PS. I believe you will be able to get a bottle of hooch AND the 45cal. in the "glove box."

You owe me big time Dean. I had to drink a gallon of whiskey with Steve and Mike to get them to agree to upgrade the carpet. Hope it was worth it because my head hurt like hell the next day driving back to Houston.

I didnt see a gun to your head Saturday night. I do remember you going to get a piece of carpet out of your car to show them the POS that use to be in the kit.

I know
I know Jim and am certain his will power would not have let him down.
He probably took one for the team (or two or three). Headache the next day probably came from the glue fumes exposed when the carpet sample was ripped out of the car.

I wish he would have used the carpet in my car. I need to replace the cockpit and the truck. But I really need a fuel tank.

Patience, grasshopper
I'll post for Dean - he's temporarily out of commission.
Seems there is a new black car in his garage and he's just standing there, smiling.
Lisa says he is breathing but outside that, just keeps walking around the car, grinning. And the smile just keeps getting bigger and bigger.
I tried to call him and she says he's now just sitting in it, going Vroom-Vroom
Give him a day or two to catch his breath and I am certain there will be more photos.

Dean,
AMEX called. They said to get your ass home, park the car and post some shots for your buddies.
