Well Glenn, just a little to my background. I'm a German native and speak German, English, Dutch and and soso French.
I used your freetranslation.com no matter what I tried it never came out that "hard" and offensive --
"""assumes that a forum is to help each other not to write this stupid message. Please do not waste more time and worry about your life"""
Stupid means stupid in any country.
I see your point about the non speaking English participants on forums, but I can assure you this was an direct insult of a member here. Please read my response on page one again - he had plenty time to realize (if/when) it was a mistake.
And for triod, saying " Stop showing your ignorance and supersized American attitude
" Is like saying - sorry I'm American.
The American Attitude made this Country great, not apologizing for it.

You did see this thread was last posted to in 07-29-2012 06:31 PM?
As for the original poster, he has not been here since 02-05-2012 04:02 PM
Regardless of where you are in the world, sometimes it is best to check the age of a thread and the last post before posting to it.

El Alesito,
Is it so awful that the few enthusiasts that have gone to great lengths, time and effort to produce some plans have decided to ask a few hundred dollars for a copy of them. I wonder how many they expect to sell. They are not selling millions of their plans, more likely dozens or maybe a few hundred if they are really lucky. These enthusiasts are not multi-billion dollar foreign companies. Because of some goofy law that makes it expensive to import really inexpensive car plans from the US, just exactly who's pockets are filled? It does not sound like foreigners, it sounds like your greedy South American government's pockets are being filled by some sort of import tax.
So how can we solve this problem and stop your South American governments from charging you ridiculously expensive import fees on really inexpensive car plans?
We need an enthusiast with a lot of time and money on their hands to create the free plans to share with the world. I know I don't have the time, money or talent to do the work. But perhaps, you, El Alesito, could create the free plans for us? Why don't you come visit the US for a few months, buy a car, buy some CAD software and buy the tools to take all the measurements. Create the plans for us El Alesito and then distribute them to the world for free. If you do this selfless service for all of us Cobra enthusiasts and you happen to be in my neighborhood during your trip to the US to create the free plans, I'll buy you a beer or a soda or something to show you my appreciation for your effort.

We did help him. We informed him that the free plans he requested don't exist. So he got mad. Oh well. I guess he needs to start a revolution but don't take it out on us for his own overbearing government.

This thread doesn't die, does it? :-)
On a side note, I got two awesome offers from cars built in Argentina and Uruguay:
Authentic, down to the newly made motors Maserati A6GCS Berlinetta. Clearly those countries have something to show!
