OK, NOW the front end is done. All lock tighted up. New steering brackets, and caliper mounts were re-machined. Sharp eyes may notice new polished uprights. I think they're pretty cool. They match the upper control arm fairly well. (I at least want to look fast!!) Wiring is 95% done behind the dash. I'll attempt to make a final center console Monday. Might even do some carting next week. May need to re-sand aluminum dash insert next week. It has to come apart one more time to get wraped anyway.

Looks excellent Mat, the JBL comp suspension always catches the eye, spectators will have a lot to take in when you pop the hood, be prepared to talk! I like how you've done the shifter, very clean. Looking forward to seeing the completed dash with front/rear roll-bar switches in along with the rest of your servo/power options Are you going with the original Lucas switches?

Not using Lucas switches. They just look similar. Got them from Purple Cranium. They have some wild stuff! I figured the more switches the better. We're actually reducing the number of switches to make room for circuit boards on the sway bar switches. Just trying to kep it clean.

Wait, you're going to be able to adjust the sway bars from the cockpit? I think that put's you in prepared pro class Mat!

Outside of an unexpected component failure, Mat will have a hard time blaming his performance on the equipment

I never brag on my driving skill. Not sure if adjusting the sway bars will be a good idea for me or not. Just something else for me to mess up. That being said, if I start pullin 1:10s at gateway, I'll start bragging.

There was a request earlier on brake calipers. Here's pics of the 6 piston Wilwoods up front. I believe they are Grand National Calipers.

For any Track use other than wet or oily, you need to have at least 50% front bar and 25% rear bar in. Therefore it is a good idea for you adjust them.

It really becomes interesting when we start discussing damper settings.

You have to have adjustability, that is the best part about these cars. Adjustable brakes, adjustable shocks, adjustable sway bars.... don't get any better than that. You can go out on cold tires with the sway bars full soft and heat the tires up then dial the bars in to where you want them to start. Don't forget the adjustable brakes, I could dial in quite a bit more rear brake bias than first imagined and there will be an easily noticeable difference when you get there.

Mat you need to go over to Larry's with some RED paint and a little paint brush and paint the lettering on those Wilwoods....or I guess you could take an air grinder and gently polish the anodize off the raised Wilwood lettering!

Is your carb set up to pull some forward g's? i.e. blocked pv and jet extensions? Running Hallet with the hills and sticky tires you don't want to uncover your secondaries

Absolutely. It's got jet extensions plus some float mods for road racing...

I like the side profile. Actually the whole car looks beautiful to me.

I've been a fan of the JBL chassis for some time.

How much does the frame weigh? Projected finished weight?

I'm sure that you'll be running low times. Just don't wreck your piece of art!

I like you John, but then you went and used the "w" word
I know the roadster version's semi monocoque chassis is advertised at 418 lbs (from JBL's website). We of course added a cage to that and I'll have the belly pan too, maybe a diffuser and front splitter too. Roadsters weigh 2350 lbs with windsors. When u add in the coupe body, windows (polycarbonate),ac, dry sump plumbing, radio, etc, I'll be happy if it's under 2700 lbs. I should take guesses, and winner gets first ride at Run N Gun. Will we see u there?
