Bill,

Looks fantastic. Way to keep going and turn lemons into lemonade. It will be a great car when completed.

Absolutely stunning, Bill.

Would you mind answering a question? Does the arrangement of the instruments replicate any particular 289 model/specific original? I ask because when I look at dashboards I notice that a lot of the originals have different gauge layouts, but I've not yet seen a layout like yours. If it is a personal development, kudos to you...I was just curious.

Thanks!

Dugly

Thanks for the compliment. As for the layout no specific chassis was used to replicate. As you and others have remarked, no two cars seem to be the same. I found some cars with a Sun tach in place of the SW unit. I did add another oil temp gauge for the rear end. But the gauges themselves are the one originals used

The switch panel and the engine start switch are not per original cars.

After taking a few weeks off due to being burned out, I finally got back into the build. Got my foot boxes and trunkpan back fromJeff Miller Friday and today installed the footboxes.

Looks really nice! Not that it matters very much but on an original 289, the voltage regulator is screwed to the inner fender splash guard facing the drivers footbox. I'm not sure if that was how the comp cars were though.

Bill,

Tried to look at the pictures of the brakes, but could not tell for sure. Are you using Girling brakes, or just the reservoir cans? Really impressed.
