Nice work Bill. It takes a lot of skill to bend pipe and make it look good. Nice flow and the powder coating on the frame is real nice as well. Keep up the good work.

It's been awhile but I've been busy assembling the car. So here is the latest...

Installed the upper shelf that will be used to support the fuel tank

Then installed the outer and inner panels, and fuel tank restraining brackets

I then installed the fuel tank, front shelf section, and vent line. The vent line has a gate valve installed. This allows air to move in and out, but should fuel spill into the line, the valve will close

Endless loop ratchet straps keep the fuel tank in place

I had my FFR front lower tubular control arms modified to heim joints. This necessitated fabricating spacers
to fill the space in the lower mount. I made these from .250 wall thick steel tubing, then had them powder coated to match the chassis.

Bill,

Your fabrication skills are amazing. Nice work. For the FFR's, is the fuel cell secured with straps, or is that just a temporary measure to hold it in place until you secure it? That arrangement makes me little uncomfortable

Spent the last two days fabricating the mounting system for my pusher fans. I used .120 6061-T6 angle aluminum. I made a jig that represented the final design and checked figment. From there I cut all the pieces and fitted them to the jig. After removing the mounting system from the jig, I fit it to the car. A little trimming and it was good to go. I disassembled everything, polished all the pieces, then reassembled them using black 8-32 flat head hex head screws. After everything was tightened up i tested them.

As nice as the FIA body is Bill, it's almost a shame to cover up the work you've put into the chassis fit-out

Cheers,
Glen

Spent the day fabricating the 2-piece bottom shelf for the radiator aluminum. The oil cooler will be mounted to the panel later. This piece was somewhat frustrating because the two sides were not mirror images, but slightly different dims. Scrapped one piece and had to start over. Plus it was 98F in the garage. But it's done
