Well, after a 5 week hiatus to move from southern cal to northern cal, I restarted working on the car. I got the Harrison expansion tank installed and the hoses. Just need a few small clamps.

Feels good to get back at the car

Looking nice Bill! Nice job on the Harrison tank. Where did you get your's from? Wish that I had the time to come up and see it. We are in Vacaville right now cleaning up my father in-laws home. Packing and cleaning so that we can settle his estate. Flying back home Friday morning.

Maybe next time that we are out this way.

Jim

I will post this as Bill has been very busy doing landscaping around their new home here near me. Sunday I went over and helped him load the Cobra on his trailer to take to Auburn for them to make the custom headers he needs. The build has been mostly on hold the past month as he was waiting for them to call and tell him they could get it in. When the headers and exhaust are done and he gets it back home, he will be ready to do the first start up and I am sure then he will be back to update this thread.

Ron

I’ve turned the corner and sprinting to the finish line. Body is on and aligning it. Still have to deal with hood hinges and door hinges, then off to paint. Hopefully by thanksgiving

Progress by leaps and bounds since installing the body Sunday. Front and rear quick jacks installed. Roll bar hoop installed. Body location complete, holes drilled and tapped, and fasteners installed. Windshield loosely installed.

Tomorrow I’ll order new Mk4 door hinges to modify for the 289 doors from Bruce and tackle the hood hinge design.

Whew!

Sorry Bill, but I don't see the point of your exercise.

How much work involved now if you have trouble with one carb?

Trouble? As in having to remove one? Should be easy. Just a bunch of screws hold the box in place. Maybe 5 minutes to remove
