EARChas - If that truly is your car, with; racing stripes, non DOT tyres (on a suburban st no less), and a license plate like that... You're in NO place to throw stones... "a poser".

I can run 11s over 100m, but not if I pushing my cobra
No engine under the hood YET
But Blykins is seeing to that...

As for a "poser" - I'm polishing an Arruminium car... bet you're a$$ I'm posing.

To each his own but since you ask...

I think that if the car has stripes, the black hardware makes for a racier look, Can't go wrong with that.

No stripes: then I love the chrome look, including pipes, discolored and all.

I would have coated my rollbars but polished stainless is pretty sweet, just like my hero Knockers.

Back to you regularly scheduled insults...
ERA Chas and 427 Street like this.

Mr. Pot please meet Mr. Kettle.

Come on, Chas, just admit it. You're a poser too, but I'm a far bigger one than you. Here's the "poser scale":

<-sm. poser ------------ med. poser --------------------------------------RodKnock->

Chas, you're on the small side of the scale.
ERA Chas likes this.

Actually, you're my hero. You have magnesium Halibrands. Oh, and twin Paxton's too.

I sometimes think about a black roll bar and jack hooks plus blacked out Trigo's for the "racier look."

BTW, in post 27 I was implying that Rodknock's Cobra was sweet, not him.
Not that he isn't but...well, you know.

Lippy, thanks for peppering the thread with some info. After all, we need a reason to show up and do this to each other.

How are you going to dress this bad boy?

Boy, I sure can't wait for the gratuitous pics of the ARP intake and oil pan bolts, maybe even a pic of the valve cover gaskets.

If he just gets it running and on the road within 24 months, he'll deserve all the accolades we can throw at him.

Ah c'mon Rod, let's not encourage the peeing in the cheerios. It's Jeff's build thread.....a once in a life time thing. If he posts a picture of a crankshaft key, we should all oooohh and aahhhh with him. It's a Cobra family support thing.

I thought part of the hobby to sit around and occasionally give each other $hit to keep the mood light. It's a time-honored tradition. He'll get plenty of accolades from everyone, but we have to keep each other in line.

You know like Chas giving me a hard time about my Cobra never leaving the garage or Patrick being skeptical that Fran Kress will never come through with making magnesium wheels.

Uhhh, Patrick is skeptical that the market will maintain its momentum. I have absolutely no doubt about those wheels of yours.
