Here are some photos of the new Pond block and the tires. The tires arrived today, but unfortunately one was damaged in shipping.

Here is the thread I just started:

Thanks,

Two-things:
You have one cam not two.
Don't chrome the roll bar-black it to match pipes and hooks. You'll be happier and not look like poser.

Corrected.

Thought about the roll bar long and hard. The window frame is chrome so it can go either way. I saw cars done each way and liked the chrome with a dark color.

lippy,

Congratulations on starting your build thread

ERA #797 is off to a great start and with all the details so well thought out, it will no doubt be a very unique build. Take your time to enjoy this part of the process, as I believe you plan to work on the car with your family. Look forward to following your progress, have fun!

Hi lippy,
Great to see another ERA build on the go and being documented.
The Blu Pozzi's an excellent colour choice, and very period correct. Black side pipes as well, and no stripe....excellent!
Cheers,
Glen

Absolutely correctamundo. (and that's regardless of how many roll bars you have)

My Cobra book shows a bunch of originals that had chrome rollbars. But either way, I like the look so I guess that makes me a "poser."

Stainless steel roll bar and polished billet aluminum jack hooks. I'm a poser too.

That car looks great, but it also has more going on (stripes and Billboards, lighter color). Mine will have blackwalls and no stripe, and Blu Pozzi is almost black, so I think a chrome roll bar will liven it up.

Who owns that car? I remember seeing that ERA on Cobra Country. It was for sale in Long Island and sold super fast. If I owned an S/C replica it would look exactly like that.
