Hi SnakeDoc, I'm very concerned about this gentleman that could take down the great Classic Roadster name once and (maybe) for all. Did you ever get your pipes? After reading the article from your other posting about the Firestrom (Monster Truck) Fraud, I would like to know if anyone else has dealt with this gentleman or the Co.? I would hate to have people say oh that's the company (Classic Roadster) that defrauded these people. Rather then they made great kit Cobra's. Anybody have anything to add?

Hello. Toms side pipes are on the way. That firestorm posting is 100% bull ****. I sold the trucks to western Rv country. They to date are the only people who ever gave me any money towards the trucks. If any of you think you can run classiccroadsters better than me and can hire better fabricators. I will sell you the entire buisiness after the 2 customers cars are currently finished. The new classic roadsters company is an honest company.
I might be plagued with unforeseen delays. As I had to reinvent the entire chassis from scratch and do it in a relatively short time frame and with a budget th hat would allow me to turns profit on the sale of kits so the company would thrive. I hate the internet and these forums. You guys can believe what you want. Cause frankly I don't care what anyone thinks. I'll find customers for my products elsewhere.

To those that love the products.
It's been a fun ride and I've built a very nice modern chassis for an iconic car

This was as predictable as the sunrise. Underfunded hobby business transactions should be cash for product.

It's not an underfunded business transaction. It's a smart funded transaction that I've spent 100,s of thousands on. I spend my money wisely. And classic roadsters will never be a multi million dollar company. That was never my goal in the first place.

Since May 15th I have heard that my pipes are on the way.

How were they shipped?

Carrier?

What is the tracking number?

Post so that all can see and I will let everyone know if I ever receive tham or if they even exist.

Ryan and I have previously chatted about the Ripoff Report. I don't have the resources to independently verify who is telling the truth, but I can state Ryan has been consistent in his response to me (December 2015) and this thread.

Ryan told me he was unable to get the original Ripoff Report posting removed stating, among other things: "The a** who runs that site won't ever delete anything."

I did notice, upon looking again today, that Web site has what they call a 'Corporate Advocacy Program' (CAP), details at: Ripoff Report | Scams, reviews, complaints, lawsuits and frauds. File a report, post your review. Consumers educating consumers.

While 'rebuttals' are free (which Ryan posted in 2012), it appears Ripoff Report charges for their CAP. The last thing a guy running a startup company wants is more bulls**t and costs, but spending a few $$ to get something like this corrected and taken down would probably be a prudent investment.

Just my $0.02...

His convoluted shipping story sounds like Canadian moose**** to me. Good luck.

Well Happy Saturday.

As I thought no side pipes, or shipping information from Ryan Martens.

His lack of response speaks volumes. I have heard from a number of other members who he has tried to get parts from both on this forum and the Mad Mechanics Form.

I don't think he ever had the pipes to begin with.

Snake,
did you use a credit card for the purchase? if so why not file a dispute with the CC company? That has resolved issues I have had in the past, not relating to Cobra parts thankfully. 99.9% of people here seem genuine and honest.

No I did not. Check! Too trusting I guess. My belief was that car guys don't screw over other car guys.

Thanks for the thought!

My thought's go out to you SnakeDoc, This is why the world is the way it is now. Us older guy's remember when your word was your bond, A handshake was the same as a contact, and a lie was a lie. I had the same problem building my last Z-car, with a gentleman saying the same thing, never saw those parts either. If your still out there, gn_n_60_shelby, you should answer SnakeDoc with one line, Pipes were sent ----, and here's the tracking#. Anything else is BS.

Sounds like another Terry Gatrell pissing on our feet and telling us it is raining. With all the many other producers of Cobra's out there why would you waste your time producing another vapor product??

For all those who have asked. No Nothing from Ryan Martens. Obviously he is in the wind.

Please if you run into him in any other forum let the members know what a scammer and con artist he is.

Still looking for collectors to hook up to the Square Bottom 4 Hole CL headers

Why isn't the guy banned from the forum and his posts deleted?

That is a very good question. I am surprised he has not been banned yet. Reminds me of Puff The Magic Dragon blowing in the wind.

Excellent question. At least SnakeDoc got the word out on this guy, and just maybe no one else will lose their hard earned money on this scammer. I'm wondering about the other 2-gentleman that put money down on these two cars that he (supposedly) building, isn't one of them a forum member? (HighPlainsDrifter). SnakeDoc just a heads up, I've heard there is another unbuilt CR in my area, just hearsay right now, but I'm on it. My side pipes will be off during the painting, which should be in the next month, if I sent you mine can you mock another pair out of those. I'm sure anything we can do to help we will, Tom.
