That is some amazing work !
I also use 3DSMax and AutoCAD for work. That coupe model you have is great. I am not at that level by any means. Did you do all the modeling yourself ? I have modelled 427 and 289 chassis' in CAD and know how long that took, but never the bodies. I am doing a coupe chassis next and sure wish I had a model like that to test tolerances on. I look forward to your updates and good luck !!

Mike.

Today I have a lot of work, so i don't have many time for my Cobra's project.

Starting to remake wrong 3D model of Cobra according to some photos.
Hope finish my early project and make an accent on Cobra.

Who needs 3D model here is the link.

Default Coupe Cross-section questions..

Hi Almaznic,
Sent you a message yesterday regarding your design references and the Coupe model. Do you Draw each cross-section or do you model the solid, then slice the cross-sections from that ? Do you model the solid in 3DSMAX, slice in MAX, then trace the cross-section in ACAD? Very interested in your process.

Looking forward to your progress,
Mike.

Very exciting to see the update! Had you made any changes on the nose since before when it was in black?

Can't wait to see the beginning of the rear half !!

Hello!
There is a lot of work now.
Winter is coming… very cold, need to warm up a garage.
Second part of car’s work is running, cuts is in processing.
Have you got a photos of landing gears in different views?
Need information of using types’ pipes.

Have a good day!
If you have any sugar, pls share)))

Just noticed your note to me a while back. Sorry I missed it before. By landing gear, do you mean the suspension/a-arms? I do have drawings for the front which I understand were also the same as the rear. It would all depend on your other suspension pieces. I will help out however I can. The original style parts are difficult to find in US, I image they are very hard to find there.

Love the new pictures. That must mean the rear half is coming soon!!!

I just got my Coupe body yesterday.

I don't need any info about . I have to calculate the chassis on my own to russians donors.

What about the back part it's too early to think about it. First, i need to make holes to headlights in front, to color and finish the model for the future matrix, make the matrix,it's all about the money and time. Today there are more interesting projects and there is no money to make a Cobra. So i plan to to start it in future summer.

I want to construct it best so it's expensive anв too long.

Best wishes.

Hello Almaznc,

B\Great Work...

One of the guys here on the West Coast made the same journey but, chose to follow a traditional path in Aluminum.

Take a look at his details, I had a very minor part in the process.

Some great work here guys! Better than most I've seen in several years. You are correct in mentioning the "Italian" roofline on the car shown as #22. This was the first body built in Modena at Grand Sport. This was CSX 2299. The Correct roof line in noted in some of the hand drawn lines over the Superformance Coupe . Note that the high point is over the driver's head. The lines on the alloy bodied car are very good but the front fender line is not flowing into the body correctly...still very nice! I appreciate all the effort you guys are going to, to make an accurate copy! Peter Brock
