Congratulations
I finished ERA 806 last year with almost the same options except quick jacks, no seat heaters or radio. I did add the HD radiator, big brakes and the .64 5th with 3.54 ERA rear. Connecticut Custom painted it Guardsman Blue with white stripes and did an incredible job. How much of the build are you going to do yourself?

Guardsman Blue is always a safe and solid choice. Looks great!
My only small quibble with Gary's and Bernica's cars is that I would choose white sidepipes, or black, if I had their shades of blue paint. But that's personal choice, of course.

I'm doing new pipes now and both are my choices. Love the white.

Excellent!
Now I'm thinking you need a Cammer too.
Gasdoc, it's not too late.

Gasdoc, don't listen to him! A Cammer is the last thing you need!
A stroked Windsor should do you just fine IMHO.

Oh PS: Yes Welcome GasDoc!
Thanks for sharing your build. You've seemingly made great choices all-round. Congrats and best wishes.

Probably cos you're runnin' moonshine in the boot/trunk...
Just on noise & gear ratios at 75-85mph the wind is often loud enough...

I would go with 331 gears and the .82 OD

I'd rock the Toploader instead. If you're going to go with the old school engine, seems incongruous to install a 5-speed in there.
Just ask Bernica, that Toploader shifts like a hot knife through butter.

You must have purchased the very special M22 Rockcrusher edition of the TKO.
For "old world" consistency sake, I'm the one pushing for the Toploader in Gasdoc's ERA. It shifts like fart permeating a small car with the windows rolled-up, A/C off, on a hot summer day.

I also have a 3:31 rear with a .68 behind a Tremec TKO. The first 4 gears
are almost the same as a wide ratio toploader except for 1st which is lower
@ 2.95. I use it like a 4 speed with 5th just as an OD cruising gear that
results in a very quiet 2200 RPM at about 70MPH.

I've tried to post a reply a couple times to some of your guys questions using the quote and multiple quote buttons and I keep getting some message about waiting for moderator approval. Whats up with that?

I talked to Peter at ERA today and they are bonding the body to the frame on Monday and hopefully it will be ready to go to Connecticut Customs within a few days after that. When I talked to CC a couple weeks ago, they told me once they get the car to expect the paint process to be 4-5 weeks. I do plan on doing the assembly myself. I also asked Peter about a HD radiator and he didn't seem to know what I was talking about. Heavy duty fan maybe? I did order the dual front fans, but he said those were mostly for looks. Lippy - tell me about the wool carpet. Peter kinda steered me away from it and said the regular carpet would blend better overtime and the wool tends to fade a bit in the sunlight. I love your guys cars! I hope mine turns out looking half as good as some of the pics you've posted.

It's a bigger fan, not radiator. Ten years ago it was a SPAL 30102120. Go for it, even with the dual pushers. I have my pushers wired so that they only come on when the manual override switch is engaged. Don't go with the wool carpets -- bugs will eat it and it smells funny when wet.

Thanks Patrickt. Where did you put the manual override switch?
