Scott, I have used Reliable carriers. They use inclosed trailers and
also a detailed checklist. Price is based on distance. It could be
1000.00 to 1500.00. Your local yellow pages will have the
number...
Your cobra buddy.

Transportation Costs
Scott,
A couple of companies you might check out -
Thomas C. Sunday, Inc.
Automobile Transport
New Kingstown, PA 17072
(800) 541-6601
( www.thomascsundayinc.com)
They did a great job getting my cobra out from Chicago - cost me $1425 delivered.
Another good outfit is DAS -
Dependable Auto Shippers, Inc.
Mesquite, TX 75149
(800) 726-2693
( www.dasautoshippers.com)
Hope this helps!

I used Intercity lines. They were recomended by ERA. They did a great job and everything arrived in great shape. They were $1500 in 1995 and they charging I think $1850 now . This was from Connecticut to Portland, Or. ERA has a picure of their truck and phone # on their web sight. Hopefully they will be heading out here in a couple of weeks.

Sounds like you have a buyer for your car . They will really enjoy it. Keep me informed on the Daytona plans. I would love to see it, if that is what you end up building. good luck.

In 1996, I managed to find a new car at a dealer in Atlanta. I live in NY. I hired Horseless Carriages to accept delivery of this and be responsible if it was not correct. The first time I saw the car was when it was in my driveway.
They did an outstanding job. Utilizing a fully enclosed trailer, I was able to get it to my house in Jan.
Highly recommend them.

Also used Horseless Carriage last month to move my car from Wisconsin to Virginia. Very satisfied with them. Cost was about $1000, which was a bit higher than normal because the car was transported without an engine.

Concourse (Fred Koller) has done right by us last two years transporting our Cobras from West Coast to Spring Fling.
Rich Lacey with his enclosed two car carrier has been as reliable as they get.
As a matter of fact he is going to be in your neck of the woods this weekend (Spokane) bringing a car for someone else and me.
He is supposed to take another car to Indiana.
Reasonable prices and you can set your watch by him, when it comes to delivery on time.

Intercity Lines
Intercity was great. Picked up my cobra when they said and delivered it sooner than they originally anticipated. Provo to NY in 1 week!
I would use them again in a heartbeat!

Intercity Lines
I would also recommend Intercity Lines. They picked my car up when they said they would, called me a couple of times along the way to keep me up to date on their progress and actually showed up on time (if not slightly early). The other nice thing they did was help me push the car up my driveway (it had no engine) which is uphill and fairly long. All in all, they provided top notch customer service. I would use them again without hesitation.
As a side note, I have never used Rich Lacey, but I know many have and have had good results with him as well.

Scott,
Likewise for Intercity Lines. IMHO THE best in the business. On time, intact, covered transport at a reasonable cost. The driver and his wife were the nicest people as well - called a few times during the trip to put me at ease.
Best of Luck,
Jim

Mine is being picked up by Enclosed Vehicle Transport - EVT ( www.enclosedvehicletransport.com ) from Unique Motorcars(Alabama) next week and delivered to N. Cal. Haven't had the complete experience yet, so I really can't say one way or another at this point, although the price is very reasonable and recommended by Unique.
Good luck and wish me the same!

Under the recommendation from Unique, I also used EVT earlier this summer. I was pleased with the delivery time and the price, but their communication with myself and the car's previous owner was horrible. I had to constantly email or call EVT to stay on top of the pickup/delivery, because they wouldn't call and give me the heads up as to what was going on. Quite a cluster and very frustrating when you're waiting on your dream car (that you've already paid for). I think I'll try Intercity next time.....
As far as estimated shipping cost from OR to MA, I would expect to pay around $2k for somebody reputable.

Intercity Lines - great job on my move from Ohio to Cape Cod. I'd use them again.
