I have an LAExotics (same as B&B) kit that I built in 1994. The car has 40k miles. I have a '64 390, single 4 bbl, Cruis-O-Matic. The car is red gel-coat with some black accents in the wheels.
The engine is stock except for an 'RV' grind cam. The car was built for street use and has single seat belt/shoulder straps with retractors and inertia locks. They came from a Fox Mustang. It also has a two person roll bar.
The interior is tan leather with two tone brown carpet. I also have a folding convertable top with hard plastic side windows that I designed and built myself.
I have been trying to sell my tops but haven't found any LAE (B&B) owners who were interested. Last year at the Knott's show there were some photos taken that ended up on a web site and from that I got several interested parties.
My problem is that I have to put the top on the car (or one of the same manufacture) for a proper fit. The shape of the back of the cockpit, where my main frame goes, the windshield angle and the shape of the doors are different on different manufacturer's cars.
Most of the responses about my tops came from FFR owners. I need to have an FFR in my garage to do the fit-ups. I haven't met anyone willing to loan me his FFR for months at a time so, I thought I would buy one. That is the only reason that I am selling my LAE. If I got some interest in tops from LAE or B&B owners I would keep my car and build tops on it.
I think the car is in the $30k-$35k bracket but, I am willing to sell it for $25,000. in order to get on with my tops. This includes a top, as pictured.
I have decided to offer a better deal to a prospective buyer, I am now asking $22,500. for my car. For those who don't want to finish their project, I will consider a partially completed FFR as part of the deal.
If anyone has an interest in the tops e-mail me and I will send some photos.
