Default Era 427sc #536

ERA 427 #536. Ford FE 428 engine/5-spd Tremac. Incredible silver paint with black leather interior. This car is basically in perfect condition and is very “original” and very clean. Please see link below for numerous pictures of car, engine, interior, etc.

Black side pipes, Trigo pin-drive wheels (powder-coated black), Smiths instruments, black interior, leather seats and door pockets, heater/defroster, chrome roll bar, black soft-top and side curtains (used only a few times), fully-carpeted trunk, car cover, chrome fire extinguisher, 19 gallon fuel tank, remote oil-cooler (not connected yet). Runs/handles/sounds incredible. NO track time, NO hard driving, NEVER been driven in rain/water, ALWAYS garaged and covered.

Engine/transmission installed and tuned by big-block Ford guru Dan Fodge (Fodge Engineering, Elk Grove, CA). 750 cfm Holley 4-barrel double-pumper, low-rise manifold, MSD ignition (concealed) with 6,000RPM limiter chip, electric fuel pump, 3.54:1 rear drive ratio, estimated by Fodge Engineering at approximately 500 horsepower and 500 lb-ft torque.

Front and rear sway bars, four-wheel independent suspension, front=Spax shocks with adjustable coilovers, rear=dual Spax shocks each side with adjustable coilovers.

Avoid agonizing wait to have one built, DMV nightmares, and un-original looking others. Registered in CA as 1965. Maintained by Performance Fabrication of San Carlos, CA.

Price = $53,500 (I paid $63,812). Have all receipts and service records. Call Phil G. Hill at (w)(650) 571-2380, (h)(650) 654-9822, or e-mail philghill@home.com. San Carlos, CA.

Dear Bob from Pleasanton who came and checked out the car yesterday (Sunday, 9/3), please give me a call at either home (650) 654-9822 or work (650) 571-2380. It was nice meeting you and your wife. We forgot to jot down your phone number. Thanks.

Default For sale

I've had a few calls asking if the car is still for sale. I've had a few people interested, but it's still for sale. I will take $50,000, but nothing below that. I don't have to sell, but I'd like to... Thanks.

Thumbs up

I almost shorted out my keyboard by drooling in it! If you don't need a kidney or something, I can't imagine you wanting to sell that car.

It's gorgeous!

Phil;

I am so sorry, I wish my portfolio wasn't in the condition it is now, I love your Cobra, it is the essense of what I want, and in better times, I'd write you a check today and drive it down to Orange tomorrrow. I know value and the fine Cobra it is, I hope the new owner values it as much as I do.

I even feature your car on my web site, I hope you don't mind as it is the totally correct Cobra for me. Maybe next time or if Exodus goes from it's $0.50 back to where it was YTD at $65.00 per. Life just isn't fair, maybe next time.

Take care and be well. Jim Weatherford, "JimsGems"

Default Thanks

JimsGems and Madrackle--Thanks for the compliments. I appreciate it. The compliments should probably go to ERA though. Take care.

Phil

Quick question on your excellent cobra. On one of the pictures, it looks like the wheel wells are blacked out. What did you inside the wheel wells to cover/protect the fiberglass? Thanks

Default wheel well material

Thanks for the question. That came with the car. Not exactly sure what ERA uses. You could ask Bob Putnam from ERA on the ERA talk area.

Congrats, Phil. That was one beautiful car. Jason, I think ERA lines the wheel wells with something called coremat. I have not looked inside the wells on mine for a long time but I think that's what it's called. You might want to go over to the ERA section of the forum and ask Bob Putnam directly--he's pretty good about responding right away--

Bob
