Two things
1. The wife won't ride in it because of the lack of air conditioning and radio
2. Useless in the rain.
If we could afford this car and another daily driver it would make sense -= but we can't - so it doesn't. Hence the trade for a prowler.

Girly Man1 Ya!
If you are trying to trade a $53k inverstment for a Measly $43k in less than 6 months you must have more money than you need. If you need a daily driver pick up a used car for a few thousand. You can buy a 4 year old taurus or lumina for about 4 grand put liability on it and you have a cheep daily driver. A prowler is a nice looking ride if you are a girl. At least trade for a Viper

guess I'm a girl
Guess I'm a girl. Somehow I don't even have the energy to get upset these days.
A viper for 53 k. Interesting concept.

been there done that....but get an early mustang driver if ya want too, you are in the sun belt unlike me and can get 1 yrs enjoyment out of it at a fraction of the cost of a Prowler/Viper without taking yet another depreciation hit in 1-2 yrs or whenever....might be better than taking the 10K depreciation hit now on your Snake too....my wife won't ride in my SPF (too loud, too windy, too rough riding etc etc) so I got a 65 Mustang convertible as another 'toy'. Ya push a button and top goes up and it is 95% dry re water sealing (always some leaks with these old designs), windows go up, a stereo provides tunes, two smaller folks can get in back seat when needed or larger if cramped, parts are cheap if needed for any mechanical work, car is easy to work on, wife thinks car is still 'cool' and allows me to play with the SPF by myself and tool around town cruising in 65 Stang with her or she too can drive it. Just a thought....one does need a balance between hobbies and wife's approval (at least in my house for 35 yrs so far)...good luck....B

Bill -
Thanks for the kind words. Your right. Another daily driver would be good right now... and an early mustang wouldn't be a bad bet. But - for a lot of reasons - 3 cars just doesn't make sense in my world. I love the cobra - but in the end don't believe its the right car for me.
Yes - its a 10k hit (actually more like 15-18 with all the accessories and tools) - but in the end its a better man who can admit having hit a mid life crisis - and then get over it quickly.
In some ways - I don't have the dollars to take a 10k hit - but again - I don't have the dollars to leave a 50k toy unused in the garage either.

It really does not seem fair to tout "Car is professionally built meaning no worries" after you complained so much about what a terrible job the builder did over on the Consumer Watch forum. And didn't Unique say something about the paint job needing to be redone? Sounds to me like you are trying to unload a lemon.

2fast
I'm sorry you feel that way. If you read through the entire post you would have seen that Unique took the car and indicated there were no "errors" simply untight work and accessories that weren't installed.
Unique completely looked at the car - performed some tightening. This was in no way the same type of issues as have been had by others where the cars were damaged.
I only wish you the same good fortune should you ever decide to sell your own vehicle. I.e: someone to go through every post you've ever written and to take them completely out of context in a different thread to disparage the quality of your car.
For anyone still interested despite 2fast completely unwaranted comments - I ask you read the comments in the consumer section about the issues I had with a builder (basically leaving various items loose - and leaving a spark plug wire leaning on a header)... and how Unique took the car back and completely checked it - tightened - installed accessories and basically certified the car.
The car was professionally built - and anyone curious may feel free to contact the Weavers at Unique directly for information on the car.

Miami,
I hear you, but what happened about the paint, or am I misremembering? Something about the Weavers not having time to redo it, or you were going to do something?
