Unique 289FIA LeMans racer for sale
Well, I've finally talked myself into this. I'm looking at possibly building a national T1 car and decisions have to be made.....
1994 289FIA Unique Motorcars Cobra. 18k miles(The speedo has always been connected) Porsche Guards Red with Lemans hard top. 385HP 351Windsor motor, Lakewood bell housing, MSD ignition, aluminum radiator, 650 Holley carburator(No the webbers don't go with it!) wide ratio toploader, 3.54 LS rear. Trigo 15" street wheels and 18" mammoth custom racing wheels from Complete Custom Wheel. Custom suspension modifications with carrera shocks, higher spring rates, 11.75 x 1.25 front brakes. Fuel Safe custom aluminum fuel cell. 5 point harness on driver's side, tonneau cover, adjustable driver's seat track, front brake cooling ducts. 2 sets of side pipes, fire extinguisher, aluminum paneled engine compartment, a few other extras.
On the cover of Kit Car in January 2001 Fastest overall at Cobrafest for 4 years (Sammy beat me once). It doesn't look like it just rolled off the showroom, but given a reasonable driver it will put you in contention for the winner's circle nearly every time. Email me with questions, but it may take a couple of days for me to get back to you. $46K Joe Traut bajw@gis.net

Joe,
Good luck with the T1. What are you planning to build?
Guys,
I saw Joe run this car at Cobrafest 2000 and he is extremely fast, same for the car.
Later,

The C5's seem to be cleaning house and are quite a bit cheaper to maintain than the BMW's. I have an opportunity to drive a few races at the beginning of the year in a non-Z06 vette. We'll see from there......

you bet......
chevy is cleaning house, a year ago a gm motorsports c5 person wouldn't give you the time of day, now, oh a frame for aC5, for privateer racing, yea how many do you want? is the response! too bad we had started two C5R replicas in august for clients cuz they would'nt, deal so we to go the hard route and find totaled cars for title/chassis pieces, then with our body, suspension, frame, gearboxes, engines, etc...to hold the cost down. are you going to kentucky to pick up the rolling chassis?

Hey,
I've tried (and taken) about everything else in trade. What do you have in mind?
