Johnex
Hi Clive! I personally was discouraged and disappointed at the quality and fit of Johns workmanship. Not to mention his lack of customer service and support after I had taken delivery of my long awaited dream project! I sold the car recently to a friend in its uncompleted state at a really attractive price and I am still waiting for John to refund over 1,200.00 in a faulty wiring harness and assorted other parts that did not fit the chassis! Bottom line, I have know Idea how this guy stays in buisiness, he treats customers poorly and provides little support after he has your hard earned moneys. Oh yea put over 65,000.00 into getting the car at the quality were I was satisfied. and then sold it for 20,000.00. On a positive note, I hear Superformance is now in Canada and they will be in edmonton this spring! They have a importer in Toronto, Macro Auto sports. Finally some Quality products with factory consistancy. Please shop around. I hope I did not come across to negatively? Take care, lets stay in touch.

I have to agree with you Rodney, the way they treat their customers is horrible. I was looking at buying one of their kits as well. But 10 minutes at the shop , I just turned around and walked away. Its amazing how they treat you when you have all this money in your pocket and are ready to hand it over to them... oh well their loss

flunkies at shop
Yea really strange place, I receintly moved from Toronto, and I was constantly going to the Johnex shop to find different flunkies working supposedly on big deal projects with house of cobras, and that my little problems would be looked at when they could or when they felt like it. I would stand on the shop floor and wait to speak to John until he was done putting brakes on an1985 thunderbird or some other some other junker. He had a staff of rotating employees,It made me uneasy to think that these people were building big dollar turn key cars for trusting customers! Any way,Ill have my dream Superformance cobra this spring! and I know I will be satisfied with that product! Clive what product are you considering? And mybe you could help me with registering my Superformance in Alberta?

Johnex
Why do you use forum to bad mouth Johnex if you had any concern's why did you not use consumer watch.I find it unbeliveable you could have $65k in a DD that was not even a roller either you paid people way too much to do work or your math is wrong .As for SLYDVL oh please did you make an appointment to see the car's or walk in off the street while everyone was working.A Superformance is a fine car but is far more expensive than a Johnex it's for people who either can't or don't want to do the work to put the car together.A Johnex chassis is one of the finest in the industry with a lot of race car engineering and parts in it,yes a Johnex may require a bit more fit and finish but the bodies are very well made and stand up over the year's
when put together by a compontent assembler it will stand up under scrutiny
with any other cobra. They are more performance orientated than most other kit's.There are a lot of happy owner's maybe you should start a poll instead
or use the proper forum to voice your opinion.

thanx
Thank you for your opionion, I was extremely disappointed with customer service provided By John! and was just responding to Clive's inquirery into Johnex products, sales and customer service. As for my math, its bang on. The car was completed to my high standards, not John's, which drove the price way up. Yea I will post these concerns in the proper forum. Thank you. Its are hard earned money to spend on quality, and I am passing on my unfortunate experience with an otherwise good product so that new customers can be equipped to make great purchases. I also built the entire car myself with very little farming out!

Rodney,
I appreciate your opinions. I did not feel that you were "bad mouthing" anyone, just relating your experiences. As consumers we gather positive and negative information on companies and try to formulate a final opinion on our own. Let the buyer beware.
