Default Cobra wanted

I am new to the Cobra market and have recently sold my airplane so I need a new toy. I am looking for a Ford small or large block powered 427 replica (Unique, ERA, Classic etc, no FFR) with 4 wheel disc brakes, 9" rear end, T-5 or better manual tranny and original looking knock off wheels. Car must be in near show condition. Cash buyer.

Yes- and I got a copy of the Cobra Replica book and am quickly learning that there are some really good ones and some real junk. I am not looking to spend too much $$ so the Superperformance stuff is out. Thanks for the link.

Previously I posted that I did not want a Factory Five Roadster but I have seen several as of late that perform really well and look nice. This was solely on the basis of the "Complete Guide to Cobra Replicas" book and the slam they took. Am I that easily impressed ot did FFR fix all the little issues that plagued the early kits?
I have pretty much decided that I want a small block Cobra with a TKO Tremec and 8.8 to 9" Ford rear. Not really interested in anything that is not normally aspirated.

Funny you suggest them. I called on one just today. . . . not real sure about the BMW rear end with a big V8- Do you know anything about the reliability

I would suggest you structure your deal like many home purchases -"contingent upon final inspection." Anyone factually representing their car should not hesitate. A builder in your area / or near the car would be a good source.

There are many good deals to be found as some loose their interest and others get scared off of these powerful cars.

Good luck.

acroeric. I have a brand new (50 miles) Classic Roadsters 427 Cobra for sale. IT IS VERY NICE!!! No Kidding!! It has a 302 EFI( I can put a Holley on it for you if needed) a T5 w/ alum. drive shaft to a 9" 355 posi rear end. Fully adjustable suspention and disc brakes with bias control on all 4 conners. Chrome sidepipes and roll bar exuast heat shields inside and out, stainless floor pans, head rests(whiplass stoppers) on adjustable seats, 4 point harnesses, white SW guages on a blue custom dash (looks great), 17" x9" torc thrust II's w/ falken 235/45hr17 on the front and 17"x11" w/3" back space (very deep dish) and falken ziex 275/40ZR17 on the rear ---> again will change out if need but they are very nice. The car is Navy matallic blue with silver matalic stripes and pin stripes on the sides of the two larger stripes. The paint is loaded with pearle and changes from a dark blue to a much lighter blue on the spots that the sun hits the stongest. It appears to be very close to black and white at night untill the lights hit it. sorry for going on and on about it. Just proud! If this sounds like what your looking for E-mail me.
