agro1... from prior posts on your part it appears you bought a used spf. your profile is basically nude, no info, why not fill it out so no one has to guess who you are, what ya got, where you are from etc, or even try to figure it out from pouring thru 35+ prior postings . therefore i am taking some liberties perhaps. i dont know the dealer at all, but when ya buy a used car it is "as is / where is" unless otherwise stated. the dealers obligations are many times less sincere and/ or assumed/assigned on a used car sale with much less due on their part used vs new . they also have more liberties vs selling a car new or with implied or explicit new car warranties. if ya didn't like the folks, then walk away from the deal . real easy. you bought it , they have no or limited obligations on your part (unless you have something in writing to the contrary) so get down the road. if you have a spf, you have an outstanding car. all cars have nuances and issues that are common or uncommon to others. for the dealer, you bought it used , forget about the issues . turn the key and go...drive your car and enjoy. history is now a done deal. you said you are not satisfied or a happy camper yet you said you did plenty of research , you are well informed and very intelligent. something is amiss, and i could care less...seems like it is whining afterwards. it won't get ya anywhere with the dealer down the road, when you need him more than he needs you.

ok, so you didn't like the dealer. done deal. enjoy the used car ! its just as good as when it was new. peace, love and harmony. bill , fellow spf owner from the midwest. not picking a fight, but see too many folks with buyers remorse or complaints that could have walked from the deal and bought elsewhere. there are plenty of cars for sale of all brands.

Default BILL...

I bought a NEW car, and I am not whining but conveying my dealings to others with similar interests. That is in fact the whole idea behind public forums is in not ? To recount experiences, explore beliefs and share feelings. That's all I was doing. But thanks for the reply, your points are all valid.

Dan,

I visited Dynamic in Reno last week, Jud greeted my wife and I like we were ol friends. I only expected to be there for an hour or so, but Jud made the visit so interesting and informative, I did not want to leave. Three hours later, with smiles on our faces, we retired.
Last Wed. I visited SAI in Vegas, and was received equally well by Bob Marsh, a true gentleman !! I was impressed with the facility, the people and the Cobras. Again, after 3 hrs, my brain was in over load of all the information.

In both cases (Spf-Dymamic and Shelby American) there was no hard sell, I believe they realize the cars sell themselves.

One thing I Will NOT do is to teach my wife to drive a 5 speed !!

Unhappy Wrong channel contact.

agro1,
You may have some legitimate complaints with your sales experiences but a better approach would be to personally contact Ron Kruger, CEO of Superformance International and voice your discontent. He can deal directly with the problem and find an amenable resolution. I'm not taking one side or the other but sometimes the "chemistry" between an individual buyer and salesmen never works. You appear intelligent, obviously well informed, and know the proper channels and pathways to receive customer satisfaction. My experiences with several Superformance dealers has been exceptionally favorable and they have always made earnest attempts to resolve problems.
Take a few minutes to cool down, rethink your objective and what you want to happen, then talk to the people that can help.
Best of luck, you still have purchased one of the finest replicas available.

Default DAN...

...thanks very much for the advice but there really isn't much I want / expect to happen. I have my car and that's all I care about. My posting is for informational purposes only and should not be considered in reference to Superformance as a product. I know what I've got and what a great product it is...Let's just see what happens if/when a warranty related item arises...

NEVER LIFT

PS - the letter to Ron is in the mail, but like I said, I don't expect much...

Like Agro1, I have also bought a new SPF from Hillbank and have had problems with their customer service. I have found many of Agro1's statements to be true firsthand. Since I am still trying to straighten out the situation I will comment no further.

Lets see, you have posted here 3 times, your profile is blank, you don't have an e mail address.
You come out of no where and slam a company most people respect. I am not a Superformance
owner, but have yet to meet an unhappy one. I challenge you to publish your name and
contact information. Are you an angry competitor? What is your car number? Until you do come
forward with real data I have totally discounted your charges as noise. So will most thinking
members of this forum.

Default JOEY...

Why would I want to build it myself ?? I have neither the time nor the expertise for such an undertaking. Nice try though bud. Next time read a bit more carefully. I was not commenting on the build quality of Superformance, they are fantastic. I was commenting on the level of service I received from a Superformance dealer, smartguy...

...just because Sport has only posted a few times, don't you feel it a bit premature to accuse him of being an interloper ? He (as I) was not commenting on the quality of Superformance. He said he bought one, obviously because they are great cars. What he and I are saying however, is that a particular Superformance dealer does not give the level of service one would expect from such a fantastic automobile maker. It has nothing to do with the car my friend...

NEVER LIFT

And if it takes revealing one's identity to be trusted, I will do so when the car is finished and I can post pics, etc...

oh, agro1, i would suspect bony is suspicious that perhaps sport may not be what he claims to be, ie, a spf owner. some folks claim they have this or that and slam them to pieces and in fact dont own it at all. say, maybe they own a competitive product that they want to bolster by saying something else is not so very good. it has happened many times here. suspicions are raised even more when profiles are empty, emails dont exist for direct communication , etc. some folks become so good at product bashing for their own personal gain and when they get exposed, then they keep coming back with new identities, and again blank profiles. keep an eye out, things are not always as they appear. hey, could be legit, a new owner and a new poster, but then again, bony gave sport the opportunity to step forward. and of course, with a spf serial number there are a whole lot of folks that can find out if the guy is legit as he says or is faking it. just my take on bony's intent, let sport step forward and be accounted for. seems like a fair request to ease suspicions to me. oh, the sneakiness some folks go thru to bash a product or a person. sit back and relax, you are taking on your issue, let him do his own if he has legit complaints...if...bill.

Thanks for your e-mail. I feel that Brent should qualify each member of this site by charging $1
per year on their Visa, Mastercard to prove their true identity. I also notice you don't have an e-mail address. However you first post on this thread is attacking a well know company and one
of their salesmen. For God's sake these people make their living selling their product, yet you want to hide behind a computer screen. If you think that gives you anonymity you are mistaken,
but it is cowardly in my mind. Also, didn't someone ask for your car number, how about it.
And I am asking for you to identify yourself to the world. Are you up to the challenge?
Have a great evening and.

Wink Let the games begin!

Joey,
I thought your comment was funny....

agro1,
Don't take this wrong, but I think what Joey meant was that after your "I consider myself a very intelligent and well-informed individual " comment, you might be the only one to make you happy. It's no big thing, and I am not trying to be smart

I still would like to hear about your engine build, as I looked at different builds before having mine assembled. What color combo did you get? Your keeping me in suspenders!

Sport,
What car number did you get? What color combo? What engine? Details.....I need details! You will get your issues worked out, I am sure. You can always call Ronnie Kruger as Dan pointed out below. Superformance as a company, and as distributors want their customers to be happy with their cars. This I know. Ronnie is a great guy to boot.

It's good to remember that not everyone on-line comunicates the same. It is best to assume humor, or wit, instead of malace, and hate. I might not go about my problem solving the same way, but I don't have the book on fixing issues either. Better to read posts in a different context, rather than on the defensive. IMO

agro1, I am NOT saying Sport is an interloper, but since you have not been on this forum long, I will tell you that Boni, as well as others, are gun shy of a person posting negitive within the first few posts. It has been really bad sometimes in the past when the truth be had. I hope you will understand.

Not another thread that turns to total sh!t. The original question is a valid one.......he!!, I even asked it before I purchased mine. If you are looking for a good deal, just head on over to your local Ford or GM dealer......I hear that they are practically giving the cars away.

At first I wasn't comfortable with spending $50 grand on what I initially thought was a "kit car". But after much research and talking to many SPF owners I became very comfortable with the purchase of my Superformance "replica". Its not the most practical car I've owned but you can bet your a$$ I've had more fun with this car than anything else I've owned.

As mentioned above, not every salesman and every buyer is going to hit it off. It happened to me once. I just got up and left. I then proceeded to go back the next day and buy the same car from another salesman. Not sure if the 2nd salesman cut the 1st one in on the deal, but I sure felt a hell of alot better doing it!!!

Brian

Bill - All points well taken - thanks. As I indicated earlier, when the truth seems amiss, as I'm sure you guys do as well, I want to find some answers. Thus, I filled out my profile as best I could, hope this clears up any misconceptions...

Daniel - there ya have it, phew (wipes sweat from brow). Honestly I just hate filling out forms, but this one I actually loved doing because of the context/meaning. I've waited years to call myself a Cobra owner, and to top it all off I got my Second Strike Reg. in the mail. Saaaaawwwwweeeettttttt !!!!

Eric - It's the light blue (Portifino) with white stripes (sidepipes). For some reason I had never really liked blue cars until I saw this color combo. I knew I had to have it. I love the fact that it looks like such a nice, cute, groovy lil' ol'car; then it turns over and people are actually frightened...ahhh what a built V-8 does for the soul. And speaking of builds, the motor was just run in today and will be dropped in this week. Obviously I didn't see the entire build but the finished product looks amazing. Albeit it premature, but a tip of the glass (without spilling a drop) to Tim and the guys at CHP. They manufacture my drug of choice (not the Jack...)

Brian - I too hate it when posts that once had the potential to be interesting and fun turn to sh!t. That's why I filled out my profile - now ask away guys...and to answer the original question > After making a bit of a stink I did get almost 2k knocked off the purchase price of the car.
