I am gutless
Luke,
Nice build on the 12:1 ratio!!!!!! I had mine made to run on pump gas, but I like your style!
I like the Portifino Blue also.
If you have drivin high horsepower cars before, you know what I mean when I say, let the tires warm up before you jump on it! Then watch out!
Also, I saw you posted on the shock issue. 970 will have the AVO shocks if still original. For a upgrade, consider the Olthoff's Bilstiens that they sell. These are a better shock than the Bilstiens that are sold on the new cars (est. SPF 1100 and up). They also have a rear sway bar that I am told (I do not have mine yet) is trick. Dennis and Bob both know racing well. Let them know you are a SPF owner right away if you call them. They are quality people.

I have to agree with everything stated by Agro on this thread. Hillbank doesn't have the same level of professionalism as other dealers. All SPF dealers know how to and do repair their cars, except hillbank which sends them out for service. Stop by their shop and start asking technical questions, it will become apparent that you are talking to a salesman, not a mechanic/ engine guy/ or car builder.

Car # is 1268, and I am in SCOF. I am actively working with Lance and Mr. Kruger to get the car I was promised. Thanks for making a new SPF owner/builder feel so welcome here. Sorry I don't have much time to devote to your forum or emails; I usually stop in quickly to research technical issues for my SPF build in the archives, and came across this thread. SPF makes a great car.

It used to be approx $36,000 for a "turn key minus" everything but motor and tranny. Don't know how they have adjusted the price lately.

Base completed roller noengine or trans is about 37k, add paint options, and other SPF options the price goes up- of course--
Depending upon engine and trans you could look at say low to mid 50k-- of course you could easily put 14K or more into an engine build alone--

Sport,
Am I correct in stating that your first name is Craig?

Superformance Dealing
Dear Luke,
We at Hillbank apologize for your Cobra purchase experience not being a memorable one. We are so sorry that you found our dealership to be incompetent. We appreciate the constructive criticism and value the input you afforded us as a means to future improvement.
We regret the impression that we are snobs and talked down to you, nothing could be farther from the truth. In fact, most of our customers are ordinary people not the elite.
We respect the fact that your time is precious and that your hard work afforded you the privelege to indulge in our product and, please, do not feel that we do not appreciate your business. We appreciate the fact that you know what you want and assume that is why you chose a Superformance product.
We wish you every success and hope you will enjoy many hours of fun in your new car.
Sincerely,
Lance Stander, President
On behalf of the Hillbank Team

Lance ~ although we have never met, I can truly say that was a FIRST CLASS response which MUST have come from a true salesman and gentleman. Keep up the great work.

HILLBANK
Lance,
Like I said, we only met once and I found it quite enjoyable - we do indeed have the same passion. I thank you for such a sincere response. My only suggestion to you is to remember that your clients are very discerning and perfectionists at heart. Not only do they demand the best in what they purchase, but also from whom they purchase it.
Regards,
Luke
