That's a legitimate question so I will give you a legitimate answer instead of some smart a$$ed you have to ask you can't afford it answer, it is at the flywheel When you bought your car didn't you ask questions about the build or are you so high and mighty that you just threw a blank check down and told them to do it their way, I know most people would want some info, I was under the impression that is what a forum was all about

Silly Questions
Some people think that you shouldn't question anything about the car - He does have a stack of bills to prove it's value. What else is needed? I have a stack of cancelled checks that prove how much I spent on the stock market - so don't ask me if my stock is worth buying. It will be interesting to see if his new ad produces a $65,000 check with no questions.

Maybe Bonyhadi should have been taken more seriously...he just bought my car. Paid what I was asking. It is nice dealing with people who have the ability to pay cash!

a nice ending...now bony is back in the saddle again and now era 535 (ER EX 535) can find another saddle to ride again ! i like a plan when it comes together. these are always easy to buy and harder to sell...kinda like horse trading, when the buyer and seller are happy it is a good deal. congrats on a darned nice car bony, i drolled over it at dvsf2. bill.

I demand that you give your name up along with the car. You are going to look stupid driving around in a Kirkham using the name ERA535.
Besides, it seems Bonyhadi's name is pretty well tarnished he could use another name!

Was Proof of Horsepower Required?
Congrats to ERA535 on selling your car and to Bonyhadi on purchasing an ERA - the finest Cobra replicas available in the under $100,000 price category.
Just curious though..... did ERA 535 have to dyno his car for Bonyhadi before he'd buy it?
I've already been contacted by two guys who are buying plane tickets to come see my car in Portland. Looks like the ad in Cobra Country is getting much better results than "all this" we've been through here on ClubCobra...............anyone interested needs to contact me soon or you might miss your chance at my car. My Phone number is 503-348-1957.

As a moderator, is it ok if you change my name to TURKEY and retain my post count? Don't think I should use ERA535a as to many angry husbands might start tracking me down?

I know the deal is done, do those Magnums come with the car?
Gordon

Buddy, I would be thrilled to meet you, don't I owe you a birthday lunch or some damned thing? Had a problem with my Contemporary, I couldn't fit into my car. Tell you more when/if we meet.
ERA#561
=========
I wish you luck in selling your car. I didn't want my question to be offensive. I think ERA
is one of the best cars. I have a beautiful Contemporary now, but have BB fever and need a car
that will fit me. I have been with LNBP (ERA535) on several outings, I know how he takes care
of his toys, and how the car is set up. So, other than asking if the Magnums are included, and
can you drop the seat and raise the wheel all what we discussed was the do-ray-me.
IMHO, if you post here your car, you get a lot of tire kickers, it's free, guys want to know lots of
stuff, they make their comments, kick your tires in cyber space, mean no real harm , but you are the guy that wants to sell and you should be decent in your replies. Don't prejudge you can buy and not. Frankly, my car has been for sale for a while, never here on CC, because I didn't want to deal with the issues you are facing. If you want to sell the car, put an add in Cobra Country and Autoweek.

I guess ERA535 has proven the old grandmothers adage...you attract more with sugar than with salt! It seems, as an outsider reading thru this thread, that the seller got a bit testy! Amazing how far polite discourse and a good attitude can take you!
Bonyhadi; enjoy your new car, and have fun!
289Cobra; I hope you sell your car as well, and good luck.

He sure did!
"Seat" and watching it vs. other cars dynos. You can't bs your way around these!
"Dyno's" come in many different flavors - mostly brown and stinky -
Good luck selling your car - remember, they may have some "dumb" questions!!

My fault. Been following that darn red monster through thousands of miles during VICE, SAAC, etc. Started talking to Pat a few months ago about buying it. Not sure if he had been thinking much about selling before then, but discussions ensued. It met my requirement at the time--it was red, so my wife wouldn't have to get the oil painting of my current car repainted...
Beautiful car maintained by a caring owner. We had a price worked out, and then this phattass with a checkbook moved in on the deal. I put my blessing on their transaction--perfect deal for both.
I am concerned that this thread went the way it did--a bro is simply trying to sell his car. I don't think Bony's question was out of line, but the discussion that followed (involving Mr. Dented Slabside) took it to the extremes.
Maybe sellers will want to respond via e-mail and keep discussions private after posting their cars for sale.
Let's get back on track and hopefully #561 gets sold promptly--maybe a new thread might be in order so that any prospective buyer doesn't have to read through all of this.

Amen to Jamo's thoughts---
However, I think 289 did NOT get "testy"---he simply was defending himself with what used to be called "counter-battery fire" among the tiny fraternity of military gunners. He was defending his post against some pretty heated fire. As the kind counselor suggested, let the heat subside. A sudden outbreak of "musical cobras" seems to have drawn some of the aforementioned fire away. P'raps Tim can now get back to effecting his sale.
Tim,
Sorry about botching Mason's e-mail address. I got most of that info from the 2001 Antique and Classic Boat Society Directory. You want me to call Mark up and tell him to buy the 427 ERA---in order to round out his stable? The man is, after all, an alchemist---he takes aluminum fighter-plane blocks and turns them into gold! Good Luck!

Does this mean that Bonyhadi must keep the tradition alive at the Quaker Steak and Lube? Remember wear sandals.
Pat congrats on the sale. KMP ??????
Bony congrats on your purchase.

ttt
must keep this thread active, feel guilty.
as long as I'm posting:
Since the end of February:
ERA535 For Sale
Good to see this thread's contents had an effect on the posting on CobraCountry's ad.
Now what happens to Bonyhadi's Cobra?

More photos of ERA #561
I've had numerous requests from potential buyers to post more photos of my car here in this forum due to the fact that the Photo Gallery is DOWN. Here's one of my favorite. I'll post a new one each day the gallery is down to satisfy the requests I've been getting.
The photo is on the next post - it would not load here for some reason.
