Turk,

Someone will be lucky enough to get your beautiful #12. What are your plans? CSX or Kirkham?

Thumbs up

If anybody is looking for a perfect car, this is it. I seen the car a number of times, and it has always performed flawlessly. The outboard brake IRS is a work of art. I bet Turk got every option available. You won't be disappointed.

Turk,

Are you getting a new home for the tunnel port? Good luck with the sale.

special k. it can't perform flawlessly anymore as it can't perform !!! IT AIN'T GOT NO FRIGGIN ENGINE when it gets sold. maybe ERA 535, EX era 535 can find some extra unused Subaru drivetrain to put in it so that it can make it up onto a trailer for the new owner. !!! 535 and Turk sold their Gasholes trailer so that is out...this is a predicament...buy the car and push it home. can't wait to see the photo shoot of that project !!! hah..

hey Turk and EX ERA 535, there was a Kirkham at Auburn Auction today that did not sell last night when it went thru, black with red stripes and a 427 (oops, Turk dont need no friggin motor)..STILL FOR SALE FOR 85K...seemed low to me, seller must be taking a big depreciation hit . My guess it will still be there tomorrow as Auburn was still seeing cars streaming in for car corral and auction so there was no feeding frenzy on cars that did not geth "SOLD HAMMER'...in fact, lots of cars were in the 'still for sale' lot . bill

Talking Selling the car, huh ?

Turk,

Something else has tickled your fancy, eh ??

I think I might be there myself. Even though my car is virtually brand new, something else (Daytona) has caught my attention. I really can't say what (Daytona) it is. But I seem to be thinking about it (Daytona) a lot.

It (Daytona) is like an itch that won't go away. You know what I mean ?

Please don't ask me what (Daytona) I might be buying. It's a secret !!!

Turk,

Me too on the change. Looking hard at a nicely restored 289 car in my area. Had my eyeballs stuck to the back of my skull, now I'm more interested in deft than dead.

I'll let all know the CSX# if I complete the deal. so far it's looking pretty good.

What are you up to? Thinking aluminum are we?

Al

George,
Looks like I am running a one man swap meet in here.
Sounds like a close-out doesn't it.? Actually it is a new beginning.

Once again. Everything is almost sold, but still have some coolers left for the beef. If you weren't so darn busy you would be doing the new engine. I don't need too much of an excuse to go beef shopping.

You wouldn't want me to bring the Gasholes to Hastings now, would you? The town would never be the same, and neither would you.

A Snake
Yours is a lot more of an ambitious project than what I am trying to do. Good luck.

Tom-in-Ohio
Part of the fun is getting there. AGAIN.!A Daytona? Why not go all out and get a Buick?

Gordon
I refuse to send ole NO:12 to Bakersfield at any price. Why do you think I allowed Pat to sell his to someone in Fresno?
Fresno, Bakersfield...What's the difference?
Wait until ERA finds out, one of their cars was sold to Fresno!! I think Pat may be fined...

Bill Wells
Bill, The engine is still in the car. New owner would much prefer it was on a stand. It won't be all that difficult to push it, once the motor is out!

Steve Dickey
It is all your fault. I got sick and tired of waiting for you to finish yours. C'mon man!! It is like pulling teeth. I guess I am not that far of the mark am I? Dr?

Stush
Probably a Real Replica is what I will end up with.

Default Turk Purchases Club Commander

I have figured it out.....Turk purchases quad 427's for a new sea going Cobra Club Commander to give all gasholes a ride like they have never had b/4....Anderson sends 5000# of Nebraska Beef to be air lifted to secret offshore location.
The engines are opposed and opposite so it goes around in circles which is what all gasholes do anyhow...so they can burn the candle at both ends and never have to go to bed....
Off to Grand Lake Co. for the weekend.... George

If the car is still avalible in 264 days I'll buy it! With all the flack lowballers get, I figured instead of offering you less $$, I would just set a date to make my offer. I'm not good at math, so just tell me what I'll owe you on day 264, and I'll fly out to CA with the cash! I'll bring my wife, she wants to know what the RHCP mean by Californication.
As for the switch to al-u-minny-um, when I got the June 2002 FFR newsletter in the mail yesterday(I guess all the fuss over shipping delays is correct ), I knew the fateful would be switching to the FFR. They claim they will have an aluminum body offering for their fit for only 6k-9k upcharge. I'm far from an expert, but I hope SPF will be offering an AL body option when my time comes to buy.
Good luck on the sale, and my P.O. stands.

You know Tom.... I'm kind of feeling that way myself. I've always wanted a Pantera GT5... but a SPF Coupe would be pretty cool too.

Who knows........

These two would be enough for any Chris Craft or any extended wheelbase Cobra for that matter. Don't know about fitting them in Panteras:

I'm no way interested in purchasing this vehicle, though from the pictures I've seen posted and the comments of others, it's a very nice car. I do have a general, just curious, question about selling a car without a motor.
When you sell without the motor, does that mean the headers are or are not included? If the headers are not included, does that extend out to the sidepipes as well? This may be a very moot point as, from previous posts, it seems the motor is being replaced with a tunnel port which wouldn't be able to reuse the headers anyways. Just curious is all.

jeb
It is always an honor to have someone who owns a Real Cobra show some interest in a Replica.

The car DOES come with ceramic coated headers (we like to call them primary pipes), and the two sets of side pipes.

Jeb thanks for your kind words. It is absolutely a stunning car. You are correct when you said "you are in no way interested in purchasing this car".

That makes it that much more special. We have people coming out of the woodwork who have no intention of buying just to pay homage to #593. Thanks.

The tunnel port was going to replace the current motor. Since I sold the current motor and now I am selling the car WITHOUT the motor, the tunnel port becomes a non issue. TP will go in the new car.
I hope that is clear now. I tried typing as slow as I could!

I am looking to upgrade, not sure what. If you are serious I would consider taking yours on a trade, and some money to boot of course.

Turk - with the engine out I guess you might be able to engineer the swap of the steering wheel etc over to the correct side. If so, I have a very nice Landrover you might consider in partex. It has a diesel engine, which I will leave in it or take out, whichever you prefer. I would prefer you took it. It should fit your reuirements exactly, since it already has an aluminium body, and is quite real, with chassis number POS#3135.
You did elsewhere express an interest in a diesel-powered cobra, this could be your chance?

The only other thing that I might ask you to consider is to take a little of the black out of that blue on the ERA, say 15.5%, and give the car a decent shine up. I like blue.

I can not access pictures, any assistance? How much for the car? I met you and saw the car at SAC 27.

Thanks,

Nut
