Default More info.......

Here is the info for those of you that have requested that I post it here. It was LEGALLY titled under SB100 as a 2001 and will never need another smog test. It comes with a chromed puke tank (not yet installed) and a Shelby car cover. This is a very street able car that has seen just 4-days on the track. It is like new and just broken in for the lucky new owner who wishes to save $20k+ and waiting time to have one built.

For Sale: Shelby American 427S/C Cobra, CSX4250.

1998 Ford Taurus Royal Blue Pearl with "pure white" top meatballs and stripes. The numbers, decals and side meatballs are removable. This fiberglass roadster was assembled at the Shelby American factory and delivered as a roller in October 2001. My brother and I built the motor and completed the car in March 2002.

Engine: Shelby aluminum 427FE block (stroked to 482 cid). Additional Shelby 427FE parts include: aluminum heads, dual-plane Intake, water pump, timing cover, valve covers, custom billet steel crankshaft and stainless-steel roller rockers. Eagle rods, Arias pistons 10.8:1, Hayes aluminum flywheel, Aviaid 9 qt. road race pan, Edelbrock 'Performer' RPM cam, Holley 850 cfm, MSD billet distributor, MSD digital-6 Plus ignition and ARP bolts throughout. Engine balancing & blueprinting by Mike LeFevers of Carroll Shelby Enterprises. Dyno testing yielded 490 hp and 565 ft./lbs. on premium pump gas.

Big input/output wide-ratio road race toploader 4-speed gearbox, custom built by David Kee Transmissions, Hurst Competition Plus shifter, McLeod clutch, balanced drive shaft, and 3.31:1 rear end, Simpson belts, chromed fire extinguisher and 42-gallon fuel cell. Lots of chromed and polished items.

No expense spared to make this car a trophy winner; it's authentic, extremely fast, and drop-dead gorgeous. Only 2,500 miles. Priced to sell at $95,000.

Default thanks

Evan,

Thanks for the encouragement. Too bad pictures don't do it justice. Unfortunately, in this market, someone is really gonna get a bargain on this one. Hell, the drive train alone would cost over $30k! I'm gonna try to take better photos tonight and list on eBay tomorrow.

Best regards,

John

Gumball is no longer active in this forum. He now has a GT350 Replica that he is club racing. I will say(because I don't have his permission) that he settled on a price that was acceptable.
