Price reduction $30K USD
Y'all are killing me. My new son Cole is here and his college fund needs to be addressed. Therefore, someone is going to get a great deal on this car, first $30K US dollars gets the car! I even promis not to cry too much as you pull out of the driveway.
Seriously, I have put 1200 miles on the car this summer and it is really well sorted out. I put a street demon carb on the car to get rid of the bad breath (c'mon guys admit it, the Holly is a great racing carb but the idle circut is just terrible). I will be in Brigantine NJ the week of August 18th, if any SERIOUSLY interested parties want to see the car let me know and I'll be happy to show it to you. The best way to reach me is as follows: ediamondjr@hotmail.com or 519-588-2501 |
Its snowing
Ok, time to put the Cobra away for the winter. I was planning on bringing this car to the Glen to do video of this weekends activity and get some rides around the track with experienced club members but could not get down to meet with senior McMahon and company as our home was broken into.
Some rather brave individual broke in at 4AM and got out of the house before I could shoot them. (Not very smart to break into an American's house in Canada, I do not share the view of firearms in the home that most Canadians do:JEKYLHYDE ). The scary part was that my 5 month old son, wife and I were home at the time! Of course, would you care to guess the only night in the last month the alarm was not turned on? The good news is that whoever broke in grabbed my wife's purse and ran out of the house before anything happened. Back to the subject at hand, The Cobra was just at Legendary Motor Cars in Milton, Ontario for the Demon installation. The owner of the shop is Peter Klut (yes, the same person who does the Dream Car Garage show. He drove the car and commented that it was "very tight" and well done. He has a racing ORIGINAL 289 Cobra as well as having restored a dragon snake, Peter knows cars and Shelbys specifically. The name of the shop used to be the Shelby shop (don't think that more needs to be said here). Just thought I'd bring this to the top and update other members on the status of the car. |
e,
While your cars sounds very nice(your photo links don't work), and is, I'm sure, as well crafted as you say it is, this could be a case in point for putting a Chevy engine in a Cobra. It really hurts resale. I believe this same car with a Ford engine would've sold ten times by now. Just my humble opinion. Also, whatever scale you used to weigh your car on needs some serious calibration. No CR set up like yours will weigh 2350#. Regards, Dave |
Sold
Car is sold:)
