Mine is registered as a 1966 but it is a replica you understand? It is registered as an "Antique". Drop me a line if you like, I have the registration paper that I could fax or email to you.

The "State" of things.....
It sounds to me like the "State" will legalize a Cobra IF it meets the "standards" of the year the car is supposed to be.
If you try to register a "Cobra" as a year model 2000 it aint gonna happen. The car would not "meet" the States safety requirements or whatever.
It seems the KEY here is getting a "Cobra" titled as a, say 1964, car BUT it MUST HAVE an engine of that "era". Indeed, it MAY have to have an engine of THAT year.
Now Renmans car (on the CC Home page listed for sale, clic on the pic) does have a "real" 289 engine. If the "State" is basing their conclusion largely on the year of the motor, RenMans car MAY fit the requirements.

Orskov,
Hello, how are you. I have an Integrity Cobra that is registered as a 1964 Ford. It has a 429 engine of the era that has been opened up to 460. It is a real horsepower monster. For all the usual reasons, my time in the sun with it has been cut short. This car is a true show winner without even trying. All the best stuff. Give me a shout at DAVIDV@AMDIE.COM, if it is still within the guidelines of what you need. I believe I need to get with Brent Mills to properly list the car on the Cobra forum.
Sincerely,
David L. Valdez

It is important that it is a 427 Cobra, and the car must have been built in periode between 1965 to 1980.
And the engine must not be larger than the original, so that is not a problem. The engine is also allow to be younger than the car.
Im looking for both original and replicas.
