Default Contemporary Cobra For Sale

1965 427 S/C COBRA (Contemporary Roadster)
Guardsman Blue with White strips. Asking $60,000.00

This car has placed 1st in every car show
entered with other Cobra's. Sometimes as
many as 10 other Cobra's competing. Completely
sorted and bulletproof.

Engine: 428 ( As per original ) some came with
427 side oilers approx. 120 cars the
rest with 428 engines.
Balanced and Bluprinted
Edelbrock 427 FE-RPM aluminum heads, polished
and ported ( stainless undercut swirlpolished
valves).
Carol Shelby signature series, stainless
427 roller rockers.
Custom grind roller camshaft and roller
lifters.
Forged 10.5:1 aluminum flat top pistons
Eagle forged steel H beam rods
4 Weber 48 IDA dual throat carburetors,
same as GT40 big block set up used at
Lemans
MSD Ignition and billet distributor
Aluminum SFI Fluid Damper ( silicon filled )
Edelbrock high flow aluminum water pump
Original Cobra cast aluminum valve
covers and high cap. oil pan
Ceramicoated headers and stainless side
pipes
Marine pre-luber built in
Halon fire extinguisher system
Dual remote oil filters and remote oil cooler
Heavy duty aluminum radiator & three
fans ( 2 pusher and 1 puller )
Airequip stainless steel hoses and fittings
500+ BHP ( 5,600rpm ), 500+ft/lbs torque
( 3,800rpm )
with exhaust system and mufflers on
engine

Transmission: Richmond Gear 5 speed ( 1 1/8" 26 spline )
aluminum case
Centerforce pressure plate, Hays
street/strip 11"clutch disc.
Chassis: Front Susp: Jaguar XKE, fully independent,
Aldan eagle shocks,
Brembo discs, Wilwood Superlite 4 piston calipers

Rear Susp: Jaguar/Salisbury, (as original) fully
independent,watts linkage, Aldan adj. coilover
shocks, positraction, Wilwood proportioning valve
Original 6 pin drive hub system
Original knock off Halibrand aluminum wheels
Interior: Original Smiths guages with reverse wind
speedometer Original S/C dash layout
Original style steel seat frames upholstered in
Connolly leather Wilton Wool carpeting
Original steering wheel, ashtray, shifter and
emergency. brake
Simpson 5 point racing harness driver and
passenger 3 point roll bar as per original
Body: The Contemporary Cobra Roadster body was
molded directly from an Original 427 S/C, Serial
#CSX-3045.
Frame: The 4" OD x 1/8" seamless wall round tube chassis
is based on the original. Increased wall thickness
removes the flex inherent in the AC built chassis.
It is in keeping with the design and
specifications of the Original car.
Performance: 0 - 60mph under 4.0 seconds, 0 - 100mph - 0 under 12.5 seconds
1/4 mile high 11's, weight 2,450lbs.

I saw this car for sale sometime last year. Obviously it didn't sell but from the pictures it was one of the nicest I've seen (even close to Baldwins).
