Bill,
The car is a POS. We have professional opinions to attest to that.

Turk is correct because it is an alloy car that he and I have dedicated more efforts and pride into making correct than others of vested professional interests.
I have attempted to exorcize the Turkish influences and have consulted an Archbishop for assistance. Soon it will be rid of all of the evil spirits which makes me appreciate having the bare aluminum sealed. Hopefully the Holy Water doesn't leave "Holey residues"

Dan - I believe the lingering aftershave aroma is "Old Spice", possibly "Brut", and it was indeed splashed all over. Took me a week to get rid of the smell after just sitting in the car for an hour.
The only way to rid the car of its turkish patina would be a good greece job.
BTW - I drove that POS once, I thought valve bounce at only 7500rpm was a little disappointing.

wilf,
I spent 7 hours with Scotchbrite and at least another 5 with a torque wrench tightening everything. For a guy his age, he doesn't do too badly and I really didn't want to wound his masculinity by mentioning anything. The guy definitely needs a bib when he eats Fritos. I thought the crunching was bad heim joints!
