Nice looking unit. How in the world did you fit in the AC. What unit did you use? My wife has a respritory condition and once in a while she needs AC when we go on a road trip. So as much as I have always wanted one since one ate my clock in 1965 I have had to stay with a Corvette. Since it has taken me 35 years to break her in I think I'll keep her.

Gordon,
I used a Vintage Air unit ... can't remember the model offhand, but it's called a Super something. At first I thought I would extend the firewall into the engine bay, but then decided to re-arrange the dash a bit. I also hated that I could not see the gauges properly (the ones in the middle of the dash were really difficult to see). So I extended the center section of the dash outwards (towards the rear of the car) a bit, mounted the 2 large gauges above the steering wheel, and while I was at it, I mounted the gauges into aluminum tubes, which I angled towards me. With the tubes polished, it looks really neat. I'll get/post a pic of the dash to explain better.
But that rearrangement gave me enough space to install the A/C unit behind the dash.
Cheers,
-Neil.
