Hardtop for my Cobra
I am looking for a hardtop for my
FFR Cobra.
Also would like to know the pros and cons of a hardtop.
Do my roll bars need to be lowered from the factory height?
If I decide to go this route I will have a never used convertible top and tonneau cover still in the box for trade or sell.
I also have one FFR black leather seat in new condition.
I attended the Las Vegas weekend and really got some great ideas on finishing my interior. Thanks to all !

Hardtop
AJ;
I have a "Hooded Cobra".
That means I have a hardtop and find it great.
Cobra ia a Superformance and got hardtop from them.
It removes and installs easily in a few minutes.
My wife is now prepared to go anytime even in cold weather, as the side windows keep the car quieter and warm.

Funny how the cold weather renews the hardtop discussion!!
About a month ago I posted a query concerning gull-wing type hard tops, and got very little interest.......
After a lot of study, I found the following:
A. Midstates makes a very good fiberglass hardtop that fits most cobra replicas. Priced about $1500, plus side curtains. Downside: Portly and or tall folks have a tough time geting in or out.
B. The neatest and most trick hard top is the one Perfstan made in the UK. All aluminum, excellent workmanship. Large gull-wing doors make entry and egress easier, large windows and built-in side curtians seal well, and give a good view out. Downside: Pricey, custom made to fit your car, requiring your car to go to England for fitting (not a problem if you are already in England). The trunk (boot) needs to be modified to a 2-piece and/or special configuration.
Still, looks great, and appears to be very desireable.
C. I can't afford an aluminum one, but would be very interested if someone could make a "universal" fiberglass top similar to the excellent aluminum one perfstan makes.
I'll keep looking.........
