Default 1964 289 FIA for sale on ebay

Hi all, I am new to Club Cobra. There is a new listing on ebay. A 1964 Shelby 289 FIA. This is one of the continuation cars. Ebay item #2443982387. Does anyone have any info on this car?

Thanks for the help.

Don't have any information on the car, but it looks to have all the right parts in all the right places.

That car was on eBay last year (02/02), did not meet reserve, high bid was 75k.

Has been for sale at XKS for a while at 79.5k... they are the one who listed this on eBay.

I think (with that engine), if all is as it seems, it is a nice car for 75k.

Have to ask SpecialK to explain this:
"...Fiberglass body with stronger "Daytona" chassis"

CC member Jason Len lists XKS as home and claims CSX7014 in his profile.

Default 7000 Series Chassis reinforcement

Ron -

I have a couple pics in my gallery of a 7000 Series chassis without the body. The Cobra Daytona Coupes had additional bracing in the tunnel section that was not there on the 289 roadsters. Heer is a pic:

All that bracing in the center above the floor-pan is what they are talking about.

regards,

Jeff

PV - welcome to ClubCobra ! The first thing you have to realise about the FIA listed is that it IS NOT built in 1964. A 1960's 289FIA would be worth many times what this car is being sold for.

That being said, it looks like a fantastic buy for someone interested in doing a bit of roadracing, or wanting a tough and well setup road car!
