Tony,
No I have not been there in a couple of months. I want to take one of my sons there to see the new coupe. I saw it in Ohio back in September.
If you want you can get me direct at MAJOLKES@aol.com

I had asked the same question a few weeks ago, and went to the ERA web site for the measurements. After measuring this out on my trunk, it just didn't look correct. Too close to the license plate light holder.
So, I went off to my Cobra book library and reviewed photo after photo of original Cobra S/C's and street versions and what I walked away with was a much more correct look when the emblem is placed about 8 inches up from the license plate light holder. Or, saying it another way, about 1/3 of the way up the trunk from the chrome holder for the license plate light. Looks much more correct now.

Zoom: I thought it was kind of a unwritten rule that you didn't put the rear emblem on SPF's (perhaps due to their perky butt?)? Do you have pictures of the trunk of your car with the badge on? I've always wanted to see what it looked like on an SPF but have yet to find someone with one on their car!

Terry....I have no idea where or how the "perky butt" thing got started with SPF's. I kept a very critical eye on all my Cobra reporduction decisions before I layed down my money on Superformance. The car looks very genuine from any angle. Funny you should mention about the "unwritten rule" regarding Cobra badges on SPF trunk lids. House of Cobras, who installed my motor/trans, affixed the badges on the car said they had never put a trunk badge on an SPF before. Why???? I don't know. Be that as it may, it is period correct to have a Cobra emblem on the trunk lid placed as I mentioned in my earlier post. I don't have any pictures of the car's trunk lid/butt area however. I'll see about posting a few very soon in Club Cobra.

emblem placement
Perky butt? I have a perky butt (FFR's are known for it).
I have a diagram that places the rear emblem's first hole at
17 3/4" from the top/front of the trunk. The next hole is 11/2" from the first one.

Rear Emblem
The rear emblem on my SPF (assembled by Bondurant) is 7 5/8" from the top edge of the license plate light to the bottom edge of the emblem.
