FS- '66 Shelby GT 350 Vintage Medallion Race Car - 31Bp
 
’66 GT350 6S2049. This is a 1966 Shelby GT350 Vintage Medallion Race Car #31Bp. In near mint condition and ready to race, this GT350 possess one of the most extensive and successful race histories known. Over 50 races and Mid-America B Production Championships in 1971, 72, 73,75,76,77 and New York Road Race Champion1974; advertised in 1972 as never DNF. Actual grid sheets from these races are included amongst miles of documentation.

Found after being stored in a barn from 1977 to 1996 the car recently underwent a complete rotisserie restoration performed by Legendary Motor Car. Painted Yellow with #31Bp, just as it raced during the '70 - '71 season. Underside is light gray for easy inspection of every seam and underbody detail. Strange Aluminum 'N' case painted dark gray to contract with underbody. Complete pictures of car before restoration, during restoration and now are available upon request.

Race ready equipped with an A-34 block, 502 hp, 13.7:1 compression engine, Tex T-10 road race transmission, and an aluminum 'N' case Strange rear end with 4:10 gears. This car possesses one of the richest B production class race histories, has successfully vintage raced and is always one of best on the grid. Car is located in Long Island, NY

I guess vintage prices are escalating so rapidly that the car has 'near doubled' in price in the last 3 years.

I know the car, I know the former owner.

If you've got the money, it's perfect in every way....I don't have the money!!!

Thanks for the kind words! She is a beauty. With Trans Am racers going for well over $200k (then needing resto work) 31Bp is still a bargin- With a more extensive and successful race history than most T/A cars too!
