I've had my fun and now it's someone else's turn...

This is a 1965 427 AC Cobra roadster replica, hand-built by Ron Ayers Classic Cars. This is not just a replica, but a beautifully crafted vehicle, meant to be shown off and driven in all weather conditions. It includes an MG windshield, MG steel doors with original glass rollup windows, and an integral soft top with boot. The interior is fully carpeted and finished in high grade vinyl with padded dash and doors, and comfortable seats. Paint is a beautiful Coral Red Laquer with white stripes.

Ford 302 V8 engine
C-4 manual transmission with wide gearing
Ford 9 inch rear end
Double-barrel carb
Box frame of 2 X 3 inch tubular steel
Fiberglass 427 model body, slightly modified to accept the MG doors (doors are fastened to the frame)
Hood scoop and brake cooling air inlets
Double-sided hood and trunk lid
Suspension is Mustang coil-over in front, 4-bar NASCAR rear with Panhard bar. Sway bars front and back
Mustang rack & Pinion steering
4-wheel disk brakes
Chrome Side pipes
Includes Cobra dress-up kit, Cobra shift knob, Cobra emblems, Complete classic white intruments rearranged for improved visibility
Heater/defroster, in-column turn signals, 13 gallon tank
Alternator, regulator, battery, and brake lines are new

11,000 original miles, registered in CA as a 1965 Cobra Roadster - no smog required. Asking $27,500.

I second Ernie's request for more pictures. Is the 302 stock or have you built it up some? And does the car set as high above the wheels as the posted picture makes it look?

Default More pictures for Ernie and Ron

I've posted a few more pictures in the gallery under Cobras For Sale, and Pat Martin. There are now 4.
No, the car's not a 4X4, although Porsche seems to have come up with a very nice piece of 4X4 engineering lately.
The car was raised by the previous owner who ripped out the oil pan going up his driveway. 4 new coil spings should bring it down to where it belongs, as well as soften the ride.
The engine is completely stock and is good enough for joy riding.
