Blue/white is the most common Cobra color. For obvious reasons. Finger painting? Now that would be nice. It sounds to me like the original owner of the blue Cobra you now have was given the same story that the commentators on Speed were about the continuation cars. "Using old chassis and serial #'s to make the new cars." Announcing it on national TV, oh my.

Bravo to you all
I saw this post the other day while traveling when it was brand new. The reply list was just up to MrMustang's first and Ron's (Computerworks). I knew it was going to be a good one so I had to look this evening when I got home. I must say I am impressed with everyone for not totally setting the flame thrower to Paul as I have seen happen in the past but as mentioned Paul's good sportmanship probably had a lot to do with it. I guess Brent's post about respect is paying off. Pretty good though, 11 pages in 3 days. Has anyone been able to get the history of this car?

Don't pay attention for a couple of days and see what I miss Casaleenie, thread killer? Please Paul, you took it well. I can see where you beleived the "original Cobra in a barn story". So many of them have been told that it just seems like fact. Look at organized religion Strange market now for Cobras. Buyers market. And it is hard to tell where it is going to go in the near future, but I don't beleive it will be much in the sellers favor.
Overall high marks for not going on a witch hunt there CC members. Paul, if you ever want to know ANYTHING about a Cobra, all you have to do is post here. Some one will most likely know.

Doug I
SURPRISE!!!!! Why yes indeed it is blue with white stripes. Le Mans blue to be exact.
We had the chasis loaded up on a trailer last night and some guy riding his bicycle made a u-turn and asked me if it was a "reproduction". Kinda caught me off-guard...I'm so used to hearing the term replica.
He had a great story about how a young girl in a brand new 289 cobra blew the doors off his warmed over Ford.
I'm sure I'll hear many more stories about these cars when it finally gets on the road.
Hey Paul, congrats on the expected arrival. Like they say.....the best part about kids is making them!!!!!!!

Oh yeah guys......If you are wondering about the Le Mans Blue paint color being original,.........good old Shelby was kind enough to mix me a special blend of Guardsman blue, Viking blue and his own secret Chili mix for my custom color that he personally made for me before I was born and then hand delivered it to Mr. Price in South Africa for the completion of my Superformance cobra "reproduction".....yeah...yeah that's the ticket!!!
