Lightbulb evans coolant

During the build of my car, I ran across Evans Cooling Systems. The idea intrigued me and I began to investigate the physics behind the claims of performance. This makes sense, especially in the tranfer of heat. Within the laws of physics, it is known that " heat doesn't absorb cold, cold absorbs heat". Are any of you using this coolant ? If so, what do you think?

I use Evans Coolant in my race car. It does work. You just have to make sure you thoroughly drain your block of all water. It does keep my temperature down further than regular antifreeze or water wetter. The $25.00 per gallon cost is kind of high up there so don't waste any.

Didn't know he had a side business did you Jamo. Each gallon personally autographed by Evan and Carrol

the rivets though correct in pattern are "fake" on the label otherwise the bottle would leak

I have been running evans for about five years now with no problems. I have a 484 big block and sometimes in traffic it used to get real hot. With the evans it runs cooler and no worry about boiling over. The boiling point for evans is about 360 degrees at zero pounds pressure. This will also let you run a lower pressure cap I use a 4lb cap. In the five years I have had it I have had the motor in and out a couple of times and have drained and reused it only topping off for spillage. At $125 a wack you try to conserve it.
One word of caution if do you use it, the color changes from light purple to a dark oily color with the consistisy of oil. I had one friend run it and thought he blew something and changed the coolant.

Thumbs up

That's good to hear some of you are using it. The claims were promising but it helps to be proven in the feild. For those who care, Evans website is www.evanscooling.com . What would we do without Island Creatures and Gasholes, hhhmmm...

I'm making the switch tonight, FYI... hopefully I will have similarly good results.

When I typed in "evans coolant" in the search field, I thought I would come up with some threads with some *real* input from Evan.

Little did I know I'd be right....sort of.
